He is clearly very knowledgeable and is not just out to make a buck. He confirmed what I suspected--that many well drillers will tell you that you need a whole new well when repair will suffice. "From the moment Joe picked up my call the plan was formed. Fast turnaround on site visit for estimate. Very fair pricing. Lead time was long, but that's the state of things now. When time came to execute project, there were no delays. His office organized permits and inspections. His crews were courteous, hard working and left the interior job site in a broom-swept / shop-vac'd at the end of each work day. The exterior driveway was hosed down and scrubbed from all debris. Drainage system installation was done very nicely, using all proper fittings, cleanouts and flashings. The new concrete pour was feathered into the existing concrete slab very nicely.
