"I woke up this morning and it was 87 degrees upstairs!  I called Louisiana HVAC, Inc. at 8:15 to see if anyone could come out today or tomorrow.  I was told Dax had a tight schedule, but would squeeze me in if possible.  By noon, I had a 1 pm appointment.  After arriving on time, the issue was quickly identified and resolved!  Besides being polite and prompt, Dax is honest.  The problem with the unit I called about was the filter!  We made the mistake of purchasing one of the ultimate... filters which works the AC too hard!  Instead of giving me some other 'problem' and overcharging me, he removed the filter, and serviced another unit I was planning to get around to later this summer.  I can't recommend this company highly enough.  If we have any other issues, I know who we'll call. "

"There's a gentleman who I specifically request for called Armond. He is very intelligent and you can tell by the look on his face that he's smart. He knows exactly what he's doing. He's able to problem solve rapidly. He's very reasonable in his prices. In opportunities where they could have overcharged me, they either did not or did it at no charge."

"We called General Heating and Air Conditioning to hear their prices on a refrigerant recharge because we knew that the thermostat, air handler fan, compressor, and the condenser fan were all functioning.  The air conditioner cooled a bit, but it was not performing at its best. <br /> Lauren at General Heating and Air Conditioning gave us prices over the phone.  She said that a service call would cost $79.  If one pound of R-22 was needed, she said the cost would be $117 including the service call.  (R-22 is more expensive than the newer R-410a, but our A/C is designed to take R-22.) <br /> Lauren also said that if two pounds of R-22 were needed, the charge would be $167 including the service call.  We scheduled the service call and the technician, Randy, appeared promptly.  He was skillful and worked efficiently.  He recharged the unit and wrote out the bill including two pounds of R-22.  There were no parts installed and no other problem was addressed with the air conditioner. <br /> The total charge was $246 though we had been quoted $167.  Clearly Lauren made a mistake when quoting the price.  Should we have to pay for Lauren's mistake or is this just another bait and switch tactic?  When we complained, service and repair manager Jamie Root refused to provide an itemized bill. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in New Sarpy, LA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
