"Steve and Tyler are a fantastic team. They have done a variety of projects at my home over the years, including replacing rotten wood, replacing windows, building a shed, and a pergola. Their work is always exceptional and done in record time. They do a great job of explaining what the work entails, the cost of the materials, and how long it will take. Their fees are fair and reasonable. Additionally, they always clean up after themselves and never leave a mess. Their work is so top notch that I'd never consider calling anyone else."

"Ultimate Craftsman, LLC, is an exceptional contractor. Mark Belvin is responsive and compassionate. Their resources include a master designer for the project and a specialist for kitchens, plus demolition/framing contractors, foundation specialists, and the like. Ultimate is supreme in design and construction and was in the top three on Home Advisor. The Ultimate designer, Dave, has the knowledge and the recommendations that put the TV personalities to shame when it comes to flipping. Ultimate's subcontractors: the Ellis Brothers are construction perfectionists, fast and precise and also of good nature; they are the kind of people who behave as though they were there to help their neighbor's project get done right. Last, but not least, are the HVAC technicians such as those at Point Services, and craftsmen such as R&B Masonry, who insure that the infrastructure of the home supports the total project. We are very pleased with the finished product."

"I am unhappy with the end result. The kitchen tile is okay however, after paying an extra $100 to have a wood trim install in my foyer entrance, I have been living with a defective product since late March. The trim is being held by a bucket full of book to prevent us to trip and hurt ourself. Contacted the company more than once , was promise the problem would be fix however, I am still waiting."

"The good:
- The people were friendly for the most part
- They did good work in some ways
- Their subcontractors did good work
- They gave us a quartz counter top "for free" for our desk
- They did a couple extra things without charging us
- Everything looks good (if you don't look too closely)
The bad:
- I did not like the communication in the beginning, but I hoped, based on the reviews they got, that they would do a good job. I was disappointed with a lot of things - see below.
- I had to prepare my own detailed cost estimate (based on their difficult to understand e-mails) and get them to let me know if my estimate was correct or not. They would only give me a lump sum price and very little detail on what I was getting.
- They seemed to have never worked with the Cabinet Factory before. It was almost impossible to get any information about the cabinets we bought prior to signing a contract. Neither Get It Done (GID) or the Cabinet Factory wanted to talk to us about them. In the beginning I asked for no fiberboard and ended up with lots of fiberboard. Also, GID apparently does not know what fiberboard is - they were trying to tell me the kick-boards were not fiberboard (they are). The cabinets seem pretty low quality although at the time I was told by the Cabinet Factory that the cabinets I was getting were good quality and approaching the cost of the high end cabinets. One of the sliders in the pantry broke right away because there was too much weight. I never had this problem with my previous cabinets.
- They used wax crayon as paint in many locations on the cabinets. This is bad because it is not intended as paint, it is sticky, and wipes off easily.
- They told me it would be $100 more per fixture (about $1000) for LED under cabinet lighting. I still don't understand why they say it costs that much more. The lights they installed get very hot.
- There was very little attention to detail. They were going to stop the peninsula cabinets about 6 inches short of the end of the floor tile. It would have looked really silly - fortunately, I caught it in time and got them to adjust it.
- They put two joints in my crown molding about 12 inches apart and did a poor job with the joints. It looks very bad.
- The painting of the walls was bad. They missed lots of areas and they wanted me to mark all the areas they missed for them.
- They did not plan out the closet desk and shelves well at all. I told them I wanted a shelf for a TV, and they gave me shelves that weren't wide enough. Then they rigged it to work after lots of discussion.

"Went extremely well.
Appt was made for morning, and I missed them (due to Dr appt).  They were there before 8:30, which was around the time I got home.  They left a "missed you" hanger on the door, and I called them as soon as I got home.
Heather was the person I spoke with, and explained the situation.  She checked, but the technician had already left the area.  She apologized (several times) and said she thinks (but can not confirm) the technician may be able to "fit me in" later in the day, and she would keep in contact with me through-out the day.
As this was my fault (was not home), I appreciated that kind of response.  Just after 10am, I got a call from Heather letting me know that the technician could be there in about 30 minutes, and asked me if that would work / be ok with me!  (Asked, not 'told' me - WOW!)
The technician arrived on time, and was nothing less then awesome.   Tim (the tech) "did his thing", and surprised (and exceeded our expectations)!  Of note, the last termite folks we had did a look around (standard inside garage, separate building and crawl space). Typical "termite inspection" took around 15-20 minutes.
I need to tell you, A1's Tim took his time, explained what he was doing (and looking for).  So after about 45 minutes, I followed him to his truck (expecting to sign some paperwork), when he advised me he "wasn't done yet"!  (Did I say WOW?)
As he started unreeling a hose, I asked and he let me know that part of the service was a foundation treatment.  (I don't pretend to know what that means, but he went completely around and sprayed the foundation of the house.)  He mentioned this would help with termites & ants.  -  Cool!
OK, at this point I really though he was done - but not yet!  He came out with what looked like a big duster (a fuzzy thing, about twice the size of a softball) and was spraying it with something (Web out?)...   As he continued, I walked with him as he went around every door and window, spraying the stuff on the duster and clearing all the cobwebs.
OK, How many times can I say - WOW!!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A-1 Inc Exterminators
- A VERY Happy customer...
