"The compressor fan failed on our central A/C on Sunday afternoon. I called McGhee's and within an hour a technician was at our home and working on the problem. The fan motor was failing. We talked about the cost of replacing the motor vs. the cost of replacing the A/C unit entirely (it's 14 years old). I wound up deciding to replace the motor at this time, with the awareness that the A/C is probably in the home stretch of its service life. I don't know how to install, but can recognize a good job. looks and functions great. would definitely recommend their services. I have multiple rental properties, and will do business with them in the future."

1) they showed up on time
2) installed working equipment
3) came back in the spring to finish connecting the a/c
The bad things:
1) Not once did they respond after the 1st call; it always took 2, 3, or more messages to get a response
2) Put the air filter in a spot where it's inaccessible. Already-existing vent pipes block access to the air filter, so I have to buy two half-sized filters and squeeze them in.
3) The owner called my husband "schnookums". Totally perplexing ... and completely unprofessional.
