"Reached out to get our gutters cleaned. David was very responsive and offered a reasonable rate. Did the job quickly and thoroughly, sent lots of pictures and video of the finished work. Very satisfied, would definitely recommend"

"We hired Bath Planet of CT for a bathroom remodel. For $25k (for a small bathroom 5.5? x 7.5?) we got nothing but disaster. I should have put a stop to it all during demo when they ruined every wall surrounding and the ceiling below (all of which were brand new due to water damage). But it they promised to fix it. The company has a license but the crews do not. There are no qualified plumbers yet they mess around with plumbing. And they destroyed it. They stuck an unsealed flange REPAIR KIT without a wax ring into our sewage pipe (that they bent when cutting). Our home has smelled like sewage and the company refused to take onus and repair it! It has been horrible living like this and has been dangerous to my family?s health and our home. After going back and forth for months, we finally had to hire a plumber and he unearthed the disaster underneath the toilet. He said he has never seen anything so horrible in his 27 years being a plumber. Next are the walls and ceiling, on OUR dime?! "

"Leo has helped us with interior and exterior projects for more than 25 years. The quality of his work is beautiful and his knowledge is endless. I appreciate that he takes into consideration my presences but offers honest feedback about what is truly workable in my older home."

"I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with my recent experience with Long Home Products. I hired them to install a walk-in shower, and the installation process has been nothing short of a nightmare. Firstly, I was overcharged for the installation. Despite the high cost of 15k, I decided to proceed with the hope that I would receive a high-quality product and service. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The shower has leaked every time I use it, causing significant frustration and inconvenience. I reached out to Long Home Products to report the issue, expecting them to stand by their work and offer a solution. However, I was told that there is nothing they can do to help. This response is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I strongly advise anyone considering Long Home Products for their home improvement needs to think twice. The combination of poor workmanship, overcharging, and lack of customer service has left me extremely dissatisfied. I hope this review helps others avoid the same negative experience."

FAQs for bathtub installation and replacement projects in North Haven, CT

Most tubs last an average of 20 years, or closer to 10 to 15 if they’re acrylic or fiberglass. If you’re seeing persistent leaks, cracks, stubborn stains, or mold that won’t scrub away, it’s time to start shopping for a replacement. Out-of-date features and visible water damage are other red flags. Swapping the tub now protects your bathroom from bigger (and pricier) repairs down the road.

You should install your tub in a location that complements your bathroom's layout, plumbing connections, and personal preferences. Consider placing it near existing plumbing to minimize installation costs. Many homeowners position their tubs to take advantage of natural light or scenic outdoor views, enhancing relaxation.

Ensure there's sufficient space around the tub for easy access and safety, especially if accessibility is a concern. Ultimately, the ideal spot is where the tub fits seamlessly with your bathroom design and provides the most comfort and convenience for your needs.

Replacing a bathtub takes just one or two days if you hire a pro to handle the job. They'll remove the old tub and install the new one efficiently. If you're considering doing it yourself, be prepared for it to take much longer, possibly up to a month. That's because you'll need to remove the old tub and drywall, install the new tub, repair the walls, and maybe tackle new tiling. Weigh the time commitment against potential cost savings to decide what's best for you.

Converting your tub to a shower transforms your bathroom with a modern and accessible design. The average cost to convert a tub to a shower ranges from $2,000 to $10,500, based on the required plumbing, tiling, and structural modifications. This upgrade maximizes space while boosting functionality and aesthetics in your bathroom.
