"Mr. Jim Gorman who is the owner of the business called me back within a half hour of my email posting. He visited my home 3 days later, inspected things, and told me what the approximate cost would be. He and his helper then installed an entire lightning protection system on both my house and a back garage/storage area. He did things exactly as I wanted in every way. Also threw in a free weathervane which increased the beauty of my home. I would have no objection to recommending this gentleman and his company to anyone who is in need of a competently installed lightning protection system for their home/property. MID-AMERICA LIGHTNING RODS is one fine company run by a man who cares about doing good work according to the latest safety codes etc. Having lost my previous retirement home to lightning, it was very important to me to get this job done and quickly because the thunderstorm season is upon us and with the climate change, those storms are very wicked, especially here out in the country where i live!"

"Let me start out by saying that I would definitely use Custom Power Electric again, and would highly recommend to friends and family. My project was to have four flush ceiling lights installed in a small office and a single flush ceiling light above a bathroom tub. Neither of these installations were easy. The fixtures would need to be install near the edge of the roof leaving little room to work. I contacted an electrician that I had used in a prior project who promised to come out and give me an estimate, but never called back. I then contacted another electric company who told me their dollar per hour rate, indicated that the job would probably take 8 hours and I would need to buy the light fixtures and switches. This approach bothered me in that if I pick up something that’s incorrect then I would need to rush out while the electrician was on site, wasting time. When I contacted Custom Power Electric, I discussed the project with Rich Mohlman the owner, exchanged a few text messages and photos and was provided with a cost almost immediately that included all of the fixtures and materials. Rich’s price was close to the other company where I needed to furnish the fixtures. When I accepted his price I got an installation date within hours that was only a week away. When Rich arrived, he covered the work areas in drop cloths to protect our furnishings and alleviate leaving a construction mess. Rich finished the job in 4.5 hours including clean-up, and the wife and I couldn’t be happier with the job."

He also had to further diagnose a wire that had been melted and address that as well. He showed great problem solving skills, cleaned up and was extremely professional and friendly. Even though the job took much longer than expected, he still only charged what he had initially stated. Would hire again."
