"Everstone's direct, professional, and customer centric approach was a breathe of fresh air vs. competitors' sales focused model. There was great communication, both in proposal and installation phases. The focus on customer satisfaction was evidenced by the attention to detail and quality. Not to mention that the stone flooring should mitigate any future damage from water infiltration."

"Our kitchen floor is a mess. After the initial installation. all the tiles shifted. The installer removed the whole floor and reinstalled. When asked about using spacers, the installer said he just eyeballs it. We now have grout lines that are 1/8", 1/4" and corners that do not match. Recently the grout began to crumble. Chad from Calcutta came out and promised to send someone out to repair when they got the grout color in stock. Well, we never heard anything. It's been about 4 months. I hate my kitchen floor. It is so hard to clean. Wish I would have gone with sheet vinyl. On a better note, the rest of the downstairs got vinyl plank and it looks very nice."

"Able to select remnant piece of granite at their store. When installation scheduled, they arrived on time and did an excellent job. Cleaned up after their installation. Had used them in 2009 for kitchen counter top. Would use again if needed."

"Jeff and Caleb were easy to work with and listened carefully to our concerns and ideas for our project. They offered several helpful suggestions that blended with the end result we were looking for. Going above and beyond in finding and using the right materials, textures and colors, they confidently met our expectations. We would heartily recommend them with a big thumbs up."

"5/27/25, I hired Northshore Landscape Design to spray weeds to my flower bed, level area add top soil seed apply penn mulch or section of straw mat owner chooses. 7/21/25 Northshore Landscape Design came to my house unannounced to do the work on my flower bed. I had not heard from anyone from the company in 2 months and was surprised when they showed up at my house unannounced. They put down straw, and gave me no choice to put down what I wanted, which was the penn mulch. The same day, I emailed the owner, Jeff Modock and let him know the situation. Because of their mistake, we negotiated the price. When it was time to pay, my credit card was charge for the full amount, not the negotiated amount. I was told to pay his Admin, Suzanne Roth through her personal CashApp and she would pay the company. Who is to say, she would have aid the company. The owner of the company and his employees lack communication and professionalism. Stay far away from this company."

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in North Royalton, OH

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
