"The name of the guy who runs it is Gil O?Bryan, I believe. They are the third ones. We originally had a different company, and we were not getting real good service out of them and they kept raising their prices. Then we had Matt Irrigation, and he was not dependable. Then I think I found GO Irrigation on Angie?s List.?They have a flat fee which is for, once for the start up in the spring and then the close down. The spring is a little bit more expensive because they have to do the back-flow check. I don?t know the exact number. One is like $100 or something like that for their initial startup and then it?s like $90 for the fall close down and blow out. Then of course if you have anything that has to be repaired or anything like that, that?s an add on charge.?I am guessing on the prices, so I don?t want to be quoted on the actually cost. The thing that is important to me is that you can call, and you can get a human being on the line. They give you a date and they?re there. They come in, they look clean, they know what they?re doing and so far, I?ve been pleased. Whether they're the cheapest ones on the block, I don?t know, probably not.?When you try to schedule these appointments and they don?t show, or we have one that didn?t turn in the paper work for the back flow one time, that kind of behavior is not acceptable. With any outfit, I am speaking polite until they screw up. I can?t fault them in any way, they?ve done great work.?They seem to be capable, they?re on time, they do what they say they are going to do. and they?re in and out.?That?s what you should expect from an irrigation service. If I remember right, the price was pretty consistent. You could probably find people cheaper, but we went with a cheaper guy one time and willfully disappointed."

"Casey was extremely nice to work with. We had an issue with our water meter being incased in our driveway cement. He spoke with me off and on over the course of the fall and winter about potential options. We ended up breaking out a small patch of concrete ourselves due to cost instead of having the water company add another meter. However, Stephens Irrigation put a control box near our driveway in the yard so we could re-pour the patch of our driveway and they wouldn't need access in the future. After install, the other owner went through all the options on the control panel so we could operate the system. <br />"

"We moved to a new house and inherited a weedy, poorly kept lawn. We arranged lawn care services with another company and they no-showed us and then came late and then no-showed again. We were given the name of this company by a neighbor and they were prompt, professional, polite and very knowledgeable. The owner himself came (he heard of our bad experience) out within a few days. They set reasonable expectations and have been right on time, every time. Lawn is looking pretty good (right up until the drought)."

"We have been using this company for several years to tend to our irrigation system. While restarting the system this spring the technician missed a rotor that had not retracted entirely after a test run -- it was raining that day. Next morning our lawn mowing company accidentally ran through the rotor. I informed Indy Irrigation of the mishap. It was quite cool and rainy then so we were not intending to use the system for a while. Still, later that week a technician, Jason I believe his name was, stopped by and replaced the head. He was very courteous and nice to talk to. Since the problem had happened right after system activation Indy Irrigation waived the charges which I was appreciative of. (I have never understood why certain companies nickel/dime their customer when they stand to make so much more over the course of a long term relationship.) Once again, a thumbs up to Jason for his customer service skills which I feel are so so important in a company and its representative. Also want to acknowledge Danielle for her prompt response and scheduling."

"Great experience.  Designer came right out to meet me.  Gave me a lot of ideas to reuse existing perennials , where to clean up. <br /> Laid out the garden beds, made a nice plan for attractive mulching around the new beds and new plantings.  Very professional, very easy. <br /> Everything survived the winter and looks healthy this spring. <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in North Salem, IN

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
