You only get 1 year warranty on the compressor; your system is old, you get the picture. I hold my ground and insist they replace the compressor. Nick comes back with the new compressor. But before he installs it he runs one more test. Voila! The compressor is not bad after all. The problem is a much cheaper part. New part goes in - system is running fine.   <br /> <br /> Their scheduling is terrible. They will not give you an approximate date/time unless they have the part in hand. They must not understand you have to tell your boss you need time off to be home for the repair. Had I not pushed for even a tentative date for a service call, I would have been three weeks without A/C. I understand the POTENTIAL that the part may not be in and they may not be able to keep the appt. Just give me something I can tell my boss to get time off! Finally, you never get to speak to Roy, unless of course he wants to sell you a new system.  <br /> <br /> Now this whole saga took 2 weeks. It could have been done in a week or less if they were not so eager to push a complete new system and to confirm the exact problem. Thanks to Nick for running that one extra check. He did a great job! Boo to Roy for pushing the unnecessary pump and the scare sell.  "
