One of the screens had a cut on it and the installer fixed it immediately on site. Worth every penny. The person that did the estimate was very professional and not pushy. Great experience overall. "Final Product /Installation grade: A Communication - pre-installation: C- - We were told that the job would start within 4-6 weeks. Actual time: 9 weeks. This was likely COVID-19 related, which is understandable. We started calling the office on week 5 to get an estimate on job start. We made 3 calls over a 10 day period and were finally were contacted with updated information a few days after the 3rd call. We eventually received a letter indicating a pushed-back start date, but this was well after we already knew this. - During the measurement phase, the foreman indicated that the existing wood soffits would be removed and replaced with their product. Additionally, the vents on either side of the attic would be covered up to allow for optimal air flow from the new soffit vents to the roof vent. Installation: A - I randomly asked the crew chief about the soffits. He said that their product would be placed directly over the existing wood soffits. We agreed to cut extra vents prior to installation. Also, the vents on either side of the attic were treated and left open/active, counter to what I had been told during the initial measurements of pre-installation. -+ The crew does do a great job of clean-up at job completion. For the majority of jobs, which may take 5 days or so, this would likely be perfectly fine as-is. Our particular installation took 2 weeks. I typically walk barefoot in my yard, as do the neighborhood children that pass through here. I would take nightly walk-arounds to inspect the work of the day. I regularly found a handful (not 1 or 2 - a handful) of 3" nails on the ground, as well as screws. The band-saw used for cutting materials to size was moved to various positions around the house. There were sharp corners left behind. My position is that a 5-10 minute nightly clean-up routine would help to alleviate the majority of these. Again, this should take nothing away from the crew, who did an all-around excellent job. This should be a company-wide policy, not left up to the individual crews. + On day one of installation, our landline phone lost service. To his credit, the crew chief made several efforts to fix it, but was unsuccessful. They graciously acknowledged that they would cover the cost of repair. Fortunately, the phone company repaired the issue without cost. + There were regular quick progress updates with the crew chief of what was covered for that day, as well as to address any concerns that we had. Crew: A + This is hard work. The four crew members were prompt, courteous and did their jobs exceptionally well. + Some existing windows were installed without insulation. This was pointed out to us and they took care of it! + On the one hand, you *definitely* know that new siding is going up on your house, on the other hand, the crew is very independent and unobtrusive. + The crew chief was excellent with communication and handling our concerns."
