"Jakubek proved to be an honest and reliable contractor that performs quality work. They did a complete remodel of the first floor in my house that included 1) Gutting and a complete remodel of the kitchen, half bath and laundry rooms (3 full slabs of stone were used as counter tops and back splashes). 2) Installing 1,300 square feet of oak flooring (they used over 3,000 screws to secure the underlayment and eliminate squeaking). Their bid was a fair price and lower than many other contractors who quoted the project. The only cost adjustments were for unanticipated issues and changes I made to the original quote and the amounts were reasonable. Robert, David and their crew paid close attention to detail and performed the job as if they were working in their own homes. They were very flexible and adaptable when issues came up (such as unexpected pipes in the wall) and very helpful in offering suggestions and implementing solutions. Since I wanted to be closely involved in decisions, they included me in all appropriate areas, and I felt like I had input and was listened to. They cleaned up daily and took precautions to protect areas from damage. Once they started the project, they stayed on it, and I felt like I was their most important client. While they did do work on other projects, it never delayed my project and they always had someone on site keeping my project progressing. David coordinated all materials and subcontractors to ensure everything arrived on time. They used excellent subcontractors for the hardwood flooring and countertop installations and monitored their work to make sure the finished project was up to Jakubek high standards. David also made design suggestions and recommended suppliers that had high quality products and better pricing than others I considered using. Jakubek was the first contractor where I never had a dispute, where I felt the entire project was done properly and where I was highly satisfied with the finished project. Therefore, I would highly recommend Jakubek to friends. In fact, I have already recommended them to 4 good friends who saw my remodel and wanted the name of my contractor for projects they are planning. I was so happy with their performance and attention to detail that I asked them to come back and proactively replace my 18-year-old water heater and a failing sump pump. Their work was very professional and they were less expensive than other alternatives for replacing these items."

"Above & Beyond Construction lived up to their name yet again! The team was able to quickly help with our project of one complete bathroom gut renovation (tile, plumbing, custom built-ins, painting and installing all new fixtures) and an update to a half bath that included installing a custom vanity, new lighting, replacing the toilet and painting. We threw a lot of curveballs at them with our dated bathrooms, but they were able to incredibly work within two weeks to overhaul both bathrooms. Amazing! The team was very respectful of our family's safety with COVID precautions and minimized any concerns we might have had. I would 100% recommend using Above & Beyond for any projects, big or small. "I had a small job and trouble finding professional help for my small job replacing the shingles on the roof of my wood garden shed -- 12x6 size. Once I removed the tools inside to prepare for their work, I realized I also needed the floor replaced. They completed both jobs within a few hours; they cleaned up afterwards, I am now prepared for keeping my lawnmower and other tools dry and ready for next season. They were a pleasure to work with. "Very professional. Although bathroom was semi refinished, due to all the problems we had had with the company who had done the basement, we decided not to let the remodelers install the toilet and pedestal sink. Good call as it turned out to be more complex and I shudder to think what the original remodelers would have hacked in order to do it. The sink drain pipe had been torn off during demo and one of the two the two bolts on the floor for securing the toilet had also been sheared off. Paul told me that it would take more time then the big deal we purchased and also let me know about the extra charges for materials due to the situation. He was able to get the pedestal sink with faucet properly installed on the first visit. Then he called to let me know he had purchased the parts for the toilet install a few days later, came to our house at the appointed time and finished the toilet install. He invoiced me promptly via email and I was able to pay the extras via credit card. Both fixtures work well. Although it ended up costing about twice what we paid for the big deal, in the end we got a quality job from a very professional and knowledgeable plumber. <br />"
