"The final product is just what we expected. Very nice. The work is beautiful. As with all construction projects there were a few little bumps along the road but Don was right there every day to address issues with the subcontractors. His assistants were also very friendly and helpful and made sure that work was being done correctly. Don is super easy to get along with and addressed any issues that we had with the construction during and after the project was complete. Several of his sub contractors said that they really liked working with him because of his friendliness and professionalism. Initially we were going to go with other contractors, but decided to go with Don and do not regret that decision. If we had another building project we would go with him as well. <br />"

"<p>I bought a foreclosure and had a very short timeframe to fix it up to be livable.  My wife had died in the house I was in and when I explained this to Dan, he worked day and night for the next two weeks helping me rebuild essentially the whole house.  He did a lot of electrical, plumbing, new bathroom, took down walls, put up walls, added heat and A/C to new rooms, moved the air returns, helped with hanging new cabinets, new garage doors, textured walls, drywall, painting, replacing doors, patching, cleaning and painting pool, major tile work and more.  I would definitely use him again for any work we need.  He was very honest and up front with me and didn't try to nickel and dime me out of everything I had.  I'm forever thankful for the amount of work in such a short timeframe his team was able to accomplish.</p> <br />"

"It went well. Once again, I found CJ Custom Carpentry to be very professional. In the process of doing two bathrooms in a 60+ year old home, we had only one major hitch. The framing for the floor of the master bathroom was built several inches below the level of the bedroom floor. The gap was then filled with concrete. Nobody could figure out why it was done this way, but it required a lot of extra work tearing out the old concrete and then building a second frame on top of the first to bring the floor up to the level of the threshold. Somehow CJ and his crew managed to do all this without getting off schedule. <br /> Although I wanted the two bathrooms to be very similar in appearance, I wanted some small differences. So, I had the shower in the master tiled diamond fashion rather than straight lay. This is more time-consuming and a bit more expensive. We also changed out the decorative mosaic. Other than this the finishes in the two bathrooms are identical. <br /> <br />"

"Dwight from Cornerstone Construction is the REAL deal! I am probably one of the pickiest people when it comes to contractors. I have never liked a single one, but Dwight is absolutely wonderful. They have remodeled our entire kitchen (removed our whole old kitchen and replaced it with a brand new kitchen including appliances, exhaust, backsplash, etc) - it looks perfect, which I NEVER say. I have no conflict of interest....I am tired of contractors who don't do a good job so when I found Dwight, I was ecstatic. I have used his company for the build out of my medical office and always refer our friends and family to him."

"Perfect. I enjoyed getting to sit in the storm shelters at their showroom to help with size selection. After signing up for the install, they connect you to an online portal to manage the contract and to update building permit number, etc. Installation was prompt and clean."

"Our garage was weathered and the paint had been peeling for years. We originally planned to get aluminum siding because we wanted to avoid painting. However, this contractor suggested siding panels that are not vinyl, they look like wood and are low-maintenance, and we are very happy with the recommendation. The garage has now been through it's first Michigan winter and looks great even though we have not done a thing to maintain it. The contractor installed the panels and painted them in a color that matched our house. He trimmed and painted the window, front, and sides. The window on the garage had rotted out and was just loosely sitting there, so the contractor also installed it properly and finished the trim around it (both inside and outside). The job was completed in two days as planned. One note - we have an electrical outlet box on the outside of the garage. In the past we had always "worked around" it, so it looked sloppy with mismatched colors on the garage behind it. The contractor corrected this - he knew how to pull it forward, trim the garage behind it, and put it back so it looks much better - an attention to detail that we appreciated."
