"I wish all the contractors on this basement project were as good to deal with as Family Waterproofing. Throughout the whole process, communication was good. Ken the owner was responsive and patient in answering all my questions and addressing concerns. They prepared a detailed contract of all work to be performed, and did what they said they would. I like that they did an exploratory dig after signing the contract to make sure we had a solid plan and avoid any surprises during installation. There was an area under the basement stairs and an old cistern that required a creative solution. They came up with a solid plan that didn't add extra cost. I asked them to pour some extra concrete under the stairs which wasn't included in the contract, which they did for a good price. The crew was friendly and had a good natured camaraderie on the job. The overall cost was very fair and we received great service and quality. They are honest, care about their customers and want you to be happy. Now I'm looking forward to a big rain!"

The crew met the deadline for a 1:30 inspection from the Village of Deerfield. They not only met the deadline but they passed the inspection without any issues to be corrected. "In the end we got we wanted but not without some difficulty along the way. The crew that removed the old concrete slab where the new patio was to be installed was sloppy and unprofessional. They caused damage to existing structures and failed to clean up. Wet concrete dust left on the lawn was tracked all over the newly installed pavers requiring several visits to clean up. Installed pavers were chipped and broken beyond acceptable limits and needed to be replaced. Installed planting of immature plants in the middle of summer resulted in several plants needing to be replaced. The owner's reaction to our complaints was essentially that this was all to be expected and that our standards were unreasonable. They have a great online presence and their work that they show off looks really nice. I don't feel that our experience with them reflects their presentation."
