He removed the mud and referred me to a company, if I want to change the routing of the drain"

After asking questions to determine exactly what we had tried prior to his arrival he determined the best course of action was not to try and use the snake directly down the sink, but into the PVC line in the basement leading outside. It took awhile before he cleared out the clog in the line, making sure nothing leaked out onto our basement floor. After having me run hot water into the sink for quite awhile to insure the line was fully cleared, he suggested how we could use basic maintenance to keep the drain running clean in the future.
