"Excellence in HVAC and the human spirit. That is truly hard to find in today's corrupt world. Christopher is an exceptional young man, and exuded every good quality of an upright character. I didn't know how to reach Miller's, so I left an AI automatic generated message, emailed Austin, and waited for a call back on the weekend mind you! Austin saw his email, and staff saw the AI, and Austin fielded the call to Christopher who called me and promptly came out. I can't say enough about the heart of this business. They follow this biblical teaching in the Bible: Philippians 2:3,4,5 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Need I say more? May God bless your business for the kindness and generosity you have shown."

"ZERO STARS!! Had a "plumber" from Call Dad to fix a blocked toilet. Had to call someone from Columbia since apparently, they don't have plumbers in Charlotte (WTH?) even though they claim to have local plumbers. Guy charged me over $400 and told me they had to call another company to actually fix the problem. This company was also out of Columbia and didn't serve Charlotte. Plumber said he couldn't do anything and I had to call another plumber but did not offer any refund. Called another plumber and he fixed for a little over $100. Call Dad lost another customer! Looking at other reviews here, I'm not the only one. From Invoice: "Once toilet was pulled I snaked the toilet to ensure it wasn't lodged in P-Trap. Attempted to reach 1 Tom plumbing where I was informed by Carly that they don't service the residents zip code area. A main drain line company will need to asses further. " Spoke with the homeowners and informed them t"

"Ricky was recommended by my colleague who found him on home advisor and I’m glad I chose to go with him. He was prompt and respectful of my home and completed my AC repair that same day. He also gave me, what I think was a reasonable price, compared to some work I had previously got done with someone else a couple months ago. "

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Oak Ridge, NC

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
