Justin from Apex Technical Services diagnosed both issues quickly and explained what components were defective and what they would cost to replace. The parts were ordered and 2 days later Justin returned and finished the repairs and our appliances are working perfectly. I am more than satisfied with the job Justin did. He kept me informed on the status of the parts order and scheduling the final repair. He even called a couple days later to make sure everything was working properly. "Great experience. Harmond W diagnosed the issue within the first 10 minutes of our interactive video session. He immediately followed up with the part number of the part which had likely failed and a link to Sears PartsDirect to order the part. After our session I removed the wall oven from the kitchen cabinet enclosure, found the suspected part, and confirmed it had indeed failed (as we had discussed during our session. "Extremely satisfied by the overall experience. They showed up right on time on the same day I contacted them. My washer needed servicing, and after what I and they thought would be an easy fix, they found that I had blown the computer's motherboard and it needed replacing. It took them a couple of additional hours to identify the issue. They advised me that it was cost efficient to replace the motherboard on the washer because the stacked washer and dryer I own is worth the repair. They also informed me that because they had not effectively fixed the washer that I would not incur any additional costs to the repair when they returned to replace the motherboard. Significant to note is that they spent more time than I expected because they were very keen on making sure my appliance worked. I am a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the US Army. It was so wonderful to see that good old fashion American service is still around. These guys have an admirable work ethic. They are honest and know their craft. Additionally, I own a double oven Thermador with a microwave that needs fixing. Rogue Appliance is looking to see how to fix the appliance and have taken it as a personal challenge to fix it for me. Like finding a good mechanic, these guys are very good. From now on, they are my go to guys for any and all appliance repairs in my home."

"I bought a Choice Home Warranty for my aging mother as I don't live in the same town as she does and can't help her in the way I'd like to, especially with repairs to her appliances and systems. Having a full home warranty with Choice, it has given me the peace of mind knowing that I can get someone in to help her that isn't taking advantage of her age and situation and overcharging her. We've had to have 2 repairs this first year; her gas stovetop and her washing machine. The stovetop took several visits to get the problem fixed but that was for parts, but we only had to pay the service fee and it works just fine now. We were very pleased with the repair serviceperson and how he treated my mother. The washing machine had a problem, we called, someone showed up and checked out the machine and said it was a really, really old washing machine and said it would be more expensive to repair that replace. Choice paid $350 for the washing machine replacement value and that doesn't really buy a replacement as Maytag washing machines run about $600 for the bottom model, but it still was something to help towards the cost of replacing and overall, I'm very happy with the Choice Home Warranty product."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
