Small jobs welcome

"I cannot say enough great things about Jeff at Greiner and Sons. From our first meeting he stood out as someone who truly listens, takes pride in his work, and is passionate about delivering results beyond expectations. He re-roofed my house and built a gorgeous covered gable porch. We went through multiple iterations of ideas together until we found the perfect balance of price and product. His pricing was more than fair for the caliber of workmanship, and the project stayed on time and on budget without sacrificing quality. Jeff and his crew were efficient, respectful of my property, and left the site spotless. His attention to detail is impeccable; the roof lines and porch look like they belong in a magazine. Jeff set a new standard for professionalism and integrity. I’ve already recommended him to everyone I know because I’m confident they’ll have the same outstanding experience."

"The project went great.  SCVC met with us, created the drawings, reviewed the drawings with us, modified the drawings ... and we ended up with a great new space!  SCVC met all deadlines; the project cost exactly what was on the initial invoice; the installers were friendly and professional.  The cost is a little higher than their competition, but SCVC is a great example of "you get what you pay for"! <br />"

"When we first looked to having this work done we called two local contractors who had been recommended by local flooring supply contractors. They either did not show up for an estimate  and/or return our calls. Next we signed up for Angie's list and contacted Bob because he had a good rating. <br /> <br /> Bob was very good to work with and communicated with us at every step. When we were going to get our estimate done, he called that morning and asked to reschedule so he could finish another job that day. The day of the estimate he could keep the original time, but was also in our area and could come earlier. He figured the price while he was there and offered us a list of references - both customers and businesses. We agreed on the price and he came by the next day with a contract - which included an approximate date. We paid half up front. <br /> <br /> The week of the work we called him and explained our renters had scheduled a party for that Saturday. He assured me the work would be done by Friday. The next day he called and let us know he would drop off his trailer on Wednesday evening and his crew would complete the job by Thursday evening. <br /> <br /> The crew showed up Thursday morning and did the work quickly and nicely. They were very polite and helpful, getting me measurements so I could pick up new thresholds that day, which they also installed. By late afternoon they had finished the work, cleaned up all the debris, and tidied up the leftover flooring. They did a walk through with the tenants (I was unavailable). I called him that evening. We set an appointment the next day and did a walk through and I paid him the second half of the contracted amount. <br /> <br /> When we need any flooring work done in the future, he will be the first one we call. I was exceptionally happy with the work he did and the way he kept in touch with us. He answered his phone or called us. I highly recommend working with ACB Construction."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Ogilvie, MN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
