"The project was a major success. We had gotten quotes from several contractors for this project. High Quality Contracting (Nick Wegner) had a competitive price and was the only contractor we felt comfortable with even though he wasn't the lowest price. We have a 1 year old toddler in the house and we wanted the project to go as quickly and smoothly as possible to minimize disruption for our little girl. We felt Nick was the best guy to do this. We were right and we are very thankful we paid slightly more to use his services. I'm confident if we had gone with one of the other bids the project would have been a nightmare.
Nick is somewhat unique as he is not just a sales guy. He is a construction guy that has intimate knowledge of all aspects of building/remodeling. Our bid experience with him was very different than with other companies. He came in wearing construction clothes from a job site where they were lifting an entire house up one level. It was obvious he knew exactly what he was talking about. He was able to make some very helpful design suggestions for our project.  
Nick is the nicest, most responsive contractor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have done over a dozen significant projects (>$5,000) on multiple different properties with various contractors and had many bad experiences with responsiveness, professionalism, and price. Nick is the only contractor I've met that provides a high quality service at a reasonable price. He's not looking to gouge you. He truly loves what he does and wants to provide a job he is proud of for a fair price. He's one of the most honest, caring contractors I've met.
Our basement remodel finished on schedule and on budget (aside from a few small changes we ordered during construction). It's even nicer than we had anticipated. We've gotten compliments from many people including the city inspector that looks at jobs like this every day for a living. We got a very high quality project for a good price.

"Job overall was good. Main issues observed were communication breakdowns between subcontractor and general contractor about organization of the project. Got a little hectic in the middle of the job. Project quoted at 2 weeks to complete, took about 4 weeks in total. Majority of work done by sub, and finishes by GC. However, final quality of work done was great and at a price that was hard to beat."

"This remodel was exceptional! First of all, John Richart answered my request in about a day and made an appointment to review the site for a quote within 3 days. We signed the contract in November and they started work on January 3, 2022, as estimated. Although the price was very important and they were very competitive (obtained 3 quotes), I can't express my relief that they were able to respond quickly and keep to schedule. Daily communications on what the goals for the day were, what was next, etc., were very much appreciated and added a level of professionalism I enjoyed. The final product is amazing! The circa 1950's kitchen and bath in my 1929 bungalow is now both beautifully updated and tastefully respectful of all the fine details of craftsmanship from the original construction. The project came in under the original budget I prepared and includes details and features they suggested, making it more elegant and functional than I had originally imagined. Details are always the most important to me and I am very pleased with all of the trim details and most importantly the precise tile work in the tub/shower and the kitchen and pantry backsplashes. They refinished the doors including adding new retro hardware and cleaning/polishing the hinges at very little cost. It's amazing what that detail adds to the rooms! The added bonus is this family crew of dad and sons obviously enjoy working together and was good company in my home. They worked efficiently, were pleasant in their language and demeanor, cleaned up the site well, and finished the project in approximately 3 weeks. We are preparing for another smaller project this spring."

"We wanted a complete kitchen remodel along with creating an open concept family /kitchen/dining room. After meeting with a few local contractors we chose Roger and Kitchen Krafters. This was a very large project which encompassed our entire main floor. He took the time needed to meet with us over the course of several months to plan our project. He also spent time educating us on the best ways to maximize our dollars spent for the maximum impact towards our vision and to stay close to our budget. He would give great options where monies may be better spent or where he thought we wouldn't want to pass up or cut corners on certain areas, revisiting this with us along the continuum of the project. Ultimately he came up with the perfect layout to accommodate the open space we wanted along with a large island, plenty of cabinets, and functional space. He did all of this in a relatively small space, but made it feel large yet cozy. Roger created more space for us in our dining room by bumping out a wall. He also removed an existing wall and part of another wall to open up our space. This in turn created rerouting some electrical and venting, which all worked out very well. We bought our own flooring, (bamboo which we love) and his crew installed it doing a marvelous job. In the end Roger talked us into doing the bamboo on the entire main floor, and we couldn't be happier with it! Needless to say with all of this renovation we were limited to our upstairs and basement. When we were home while his crews were working they were respectful and efficient. We are now able to entertain at our large island, enjoy the family room space, and work in our kitchen without being on top of one another. His work is immaculate! He installs all the cabinets himself, and they are gorgeous and functional. The cabinets truly are the crown jewel of the project! Roger also installed a fantastic hood vent for us. His tile worker beautifully installed our subway tile, and we couldn't imagine our kitchen without it- a true WOW factor. It is our back splash and climbs the wall behind our hood. Getting the floor boards ordered and installed was a headache which we hadn't anticipated, but that also turned out wonderfully despite the extra work and price tag. There were a few bumps along the way as there are with any project, but the end result is truly magnificent! Lighting was a another huge project. We had our dining room chandelier moved, had under mount cabinet lighting installed, new dimmers, recessed lighting throughout the kitchen, hallway, and some in family room, and pendants added over the island. Just deciding which lights to use is exciting and fun, and they are all amazing! Lighting changed the look of the entire space. We would gladly and enthusiastically hire Roger again and we highly recommend Roger and his crews for your next job."
