"I called them to request their services to repair a leaking outdoor faucet and install a new outdoor faucet with copper piping. They scheduled me for an 8:00 AM Evaluation appointment the next morning. They showed up on time, gave me a fixed price to complete the job and actually completed the job while they were here."

"It was really good.  We felt like he was very professional.  He came and fixed a problem we had with the furnace.  He came back to make sure everything was working fine.  He said not to hesitate to call him if there are any further problems and said if there are, he would come back and fix it.  He is very efficient.  Right now, he has one other gentleman that works with him.  When we talked with him to install a gas fireplace, it was too expensive, so he found us something that was much less expensive and installed everything for us.  He made sure everything was secure.  He was here when the gas folks came to connect the hoses.  His prices are reasonable.  He charges per hour and the materials on the gas fireplace was much lesser than another person I had out here was promoting.  The total price included the materials, the fireplace and installation."

"and I can barely hear it run now, it is way quieter. He made adjustments to make it more efficient too. He left me with a written report of what he did and the percent of efficiency it now puts out.  He said it will now use less oil and the water is hotter now too. The furnace, it's area was cleaner and smelled better than when he got there. He was very neat and clean too. I am so pleased with him and his work i would reccommend him to AANYBODY. <br />"

"Colton performed the regular furnace cleaning and he helped troubleshoot an issue that we were having and provided some options on what we could do to solve the issue. He also provided some information on some potential issues that could be problematic down the road. He was really helpful in explaining how the the problem was happening and what different options would work and the advantages and disadvantages of each. He was very professional and I would recommend Pine State for furnace and plumbing work."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Old Orchard Beach, ME

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
