"This job was done in February 2017. I just discovered I never finished writing the review. So here it is 3 years later. First, doing this review now lets me tell you that our new metal roof made it through Hurricane Michael with flying colors. We had other storm damage ($25,000 worth) but the roof did fine. The job was done on schedule though interrupted by two afternoon heavy rain events. First class installation by a team that showed up on-time each morning, worked hard and got along well together. They were proud of their work and and cleaned up the site when done even using a magnetic sweeper to lift any roofing nails that might have fallen. The roof we chose was white which made our house really stand out over the gray siding and white trim. Moreover, our HVAC bills were lowered (I track it). Last, I want to tell you that Guyson are more than just roofers after your money. They are fine local people. Recently, my 94 year-old neighbor climbed on his roof to do some repairs. He fell off the roof onto a concrete pad and spent 5 days in intensive care. 20-some staples in his head, boot on his left leg and badly bruised ribs but super lucky to be alive. Needless to say, he's not going to get on the roof anytime soon. I get "the cat claws" when I'm on a pitched roof. So I called Guyson and when they heard the story they came out and looked at the job. Although they are swamped and this is a small job they're gonna do finish the repair anyway. God love 'em. BTW, my neighbor's fall is how I found out I never finished this review I started in 2017."

"
Unfortunately, I have to update my original review due to some issues with the product after the first large rainstorm. I contacted D and D immediately after the first rain to advise them the patio was leaking where the aluminum roof connected to the house. They did send someone out quickly, and they sealed the connection. After the next rain the problem still existed. Again, I contacted them immediately. They sent another guy out during a rainstorm and he witnessed first hand the leaking patio. They could not make a repair that day due to the weather, so they came back another day and again tried to fix the problem. No such luck. I continued to call them after each rainstorm because the patio continued to leak. I was told they were tired of sending men out. After about 6 months of no results and my frustration, I asked for my money back and for D and D to remove the structure since they could not seem to fix the problem. Cary, the owner, told me it was my roof leaking and not his screen patio installation. He said he was sure it was my roof so if I could prove it wasn't my roof then he would address returning my money and removing the structure. I called my roofer for an inspection, since my roof is fairly new and still under warranty. My roofer said it was their installation causing the issues. My shingles were air tight and secure. I sent Cary pictures my roofer took and the invoice. He did pay my roofer for the inspection but still did not think it was D and D's problem. He insisted that he needed to send his own roofer. I again took additional time off to accommodate this appointment. The roofer he sent out also said the issue was caused by the way the work to re-install the enclosure panels was done. D&D's roofer (the one they had chosen to inspect their work) informed us D&D had broken the seal by prying out the metal strip when replacing the fascia and that was causing the leakage every time it rained. In response to this, Cary said he would pay for the proper repairs to be done to eliminate the leak. On the day before all this was finally scheduled, Cary told us he would not authorize payment for the repairs without his foreman being there witnessing what work was required to stop the leaks. While I can understand why Cary would want his foreman to see first hand what work was going to be done, it was somewhat disconcerting to find this out late in the afternoon the day before my roofer was scheduled to show up and start the work. With this new twist, I had to miss another two hours of work as I needed to be at the house when the two contractors showed up to determine if Cary was going to be liable for the repairs. Understand, these repairs required by the roofer were estimated to cost $1800 and I did not want any more issues with who was going to pay for the botched installation. On a positive note for D&D, the foreman had pointed out three or four areas wherein the install was done improperly and going forward, they received some very good advice .Cary did finally agree to pay my roofer to do the repairs that were needed after his (Cary's) foreman called Cary from my house (the job site) after meeting with my roofer and being shown exactly what D&D had done incorrectly on their install that was the root of the problem.

Thru all this, it was very disappointing to me that Cary never stepped foot on my property to check the quality of his crew but instead continued to say the leaks were due to my roof being faulty. When I suggested Cary come by and meet with us, the idea was rejected. He was not very nice and he was accusatory. There was constant communication with Monica at D and D and she relayed all my messages and emails to Cary. I was very patient, it took over 6 months and numerous repair efforts along with being told it was my roof and I needed to prove it wasn't. Please note that from day 1 the patio/screen enclosure looked great! The issue only was noticed after the first rainstorm and continued each and every time it rained. It took 6 months to get this issue resolved.

The initial install was "finished" the day before Easter, but it took until the first week in December, countless phone calls, many, many hours of missed work and an enormous amount of stress and frustration, but it is finally done,
"

"Santos and his team from Plantation Shutters Florida were wonderful during the entire process. They showed up on time for each appointment and took the proper amount of time to explain the products and process. Our order took just a couple of weeks to be completed (vs. months from some other companies that sell blinds made in China.) Installation day was Wednesday and they were prompt, respectful, diligent and knowledgeable. Each window's shutters were installed and adjusted until they were perfect! It took approximately 5 hours for installation. There were no disruptions to our home and no mess to clean up. Wonderful job and wonderful service. The shutters are absolutely beautiful and add just the perfect finish to our home. The best part about their product is that they are American-made!

"

"
After interviewing three other contractors, my husband and I decided to go with Robert Cairns, of C5 Construction. We met with him on another elevator project that he, along with Sunrise Elevators (we also used Sunrise) had worked on and completed. His work was very neat and I, especially, liked how he rounded the edges of the walls. He was very precise in his measurements and the elevator fit perfect.
bably"

"I choose MHS Commercial and Residential to install my high end travertine tile into my home the installation was over $12,000.00 . The tile was installed terribly. The grout lines are not even, the tiles are unleveled with corners sticking out everywhere and the tile was not sealed as promised plus not to mention they busted a refrigerator drainage line that caused a leak into my kitchen causing mold and over $20,000.00 .
After the install of the tile I was getting promises weekely that they will come by the following week to do the repairs and they never showed up until 2 months later. After a few months they sent a guy to replace 8-10 tiles the tiles were removed and it took them about a month to put in the new tiles. So I had holes in my floor for months and 1 of my daughters cut her toe pretty bad. Replacing the tiles did not fix anything. They decided that the only option was is to hone the tile down. Its been 6 months and nothing has gotten repaired I had to hire a lawyer and now they are saying nothing is getting repaired and said go ahead and sue us.
"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Old Town, FL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
