"This company is very unprofessional they showed to my house blaring their radio with heavy metal music. They smoked on my property and left the butts behind they left a mess around their work area and cussed in front of my children and smelled like booze. I would recommend them to anyone"

"They didn't seem interested in repairing my furnace. All they wanted to do was sell me a new furnace. The demeanor of the technician, Nicholas, changed to argumentative and belligerent when I said I was not buying a new furnace. When I tried to complain to the manager, he became argumentative as well. He did return the diagnostic fee after I told him I was getting a 2nd opinion."

"We couldn't be happier with the annual maintenance and cleaning service we received today. Joe was incredibly thorough, taking the time to ensure every part of the HVAC system was scrubbed and inspected. He was super friendly and walked us through exactly how the system is performing. Professional service at a great price. If you need your AC/Heating looked at, definitely give them a call! Highly recommend! "

"Best Customer Experience even if I chose another Contractors Hardware: Dave Rolig that came out to do the estimate was very knowledgeable and took the time to know me and answer any and all of my questions. His experience and genuine caring were unmatched! An employee to make any company very proud. He even offered to meet price of competitors product. In the end it was my engineering analysis of the hardware choices that had me chose the competitor. And that was nothing he could overcome. He gave me every reason to believe Allred was only selling a product they believed in and would fully stand behind for many years to come. I would highly recommend Allred Heating Cooling Electric and Dave Rolig to anyone shopping for these services! Thank you for your prompt and complete support through this experience. Brian Garber"

"Closing on a house. Contractor received $3900 for furnace work. Owner claims he personally serviced my furnace. I’ve got a furnace that doesn’t work, dirty filter, no apparent work done until a technician was called. They replaced a gas valve. Furnace still doesn’t work. Owner of the company, Jason, says he refuses to fix the furnace."

"Hunt’s Services is outstanding. It is a company that strives for excellence in every detail. The scheduling system for appointments is excellent with courtesy text/email reminders. Plus, we received a personal phone call on the scheduled day with an estimated time of arrival for the technicians which is pretty darn accurate considering the heavy local traffic congestion this summer."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Olympia, WA

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
