"It was excellent. Douglas was very professional, courteous, and did a couple of things to make my sub pump more steady. They left the job site clean. I talked to him over the phone and he seems to be knowledgeable and had good customer service."

"We came home from vacation to little to no water pressure. We called several providers and Shawn promptly returned our call, made an appointment and fixed our problem. He diagnosed our water problem quickly, got the parts and completed the repairs before the end of the day. We would definitely recommend Shawn for his professionalism, quick response and experience. He explained the process so we are better educated for the future. <br />"

"Originally, we brought Lalone and his team in to repair our well after it was sideswiped by an automobile in the driveway.  We still had water but wanted to make sure that everything was "A-OK".  His technician discovered that the power supply line for the well had not been properly grounded in the pump housing when the original installation was completed thereby resulting in a potentially disastrous electrical hazard.  This problem was corrected the same day and the well's operation passed muster.   <br /> More recently and much to our surprise,  while getting breakfast ready, we discovered that we had no water even though everything was fine the night before.  Puzzling.  Mike responded to our call by sending out 2 technicians who diagnosed and corrected the problem in less than 5 minutes (ironically, the power supply to the well pump in the house had been taken off line in error - LaLone's boys remedied the deficient condition and cheerfully observed that I could blame my sister-in-law who had been in the basement the night prior. <br />"

"Lake Orion Plumbing and Heating staff were fantastic to work with. Our technician Mark was always prompt and courteous and called ahead of time to ensure my availability and scheduling. Upon finding a large septic line fracture under our existing patio, Lake Orion Plumbing went above and beyond to ensure all was excavated, replaced correctly and quickly. They installed new natural gas lines all the way around the house to two quick disconnect systems for our Grill and pizza oven before a large concrete patio pour. They also care for my two Bryant HVAC systems which include heat pumps, and our water heater. Their annual maintenance contract is easy to arrange and their service and inspections are thorough inside and outside. I highly recommend Lake Orion Plumbing and Heating."

"From the moment Joe picked up my call the plan was formed. Fast turnaround on site visit for estimate. Very fair pricing. Lead time was long, but that's the state of things now. When time came to execute project, there were no delays. His office organized permits and inspections. His crews were courteous, hard working and left the interior job site in a broom-swept / shop-vac'd at the end of each work day. The exterior driveway was hosed down and scrubbed from all debris. Drainage system installation was done very nicely, using all proper fittings, cleanouts and flashings. The new concrete pour was feathered into the existing concrete slab very nicely. I likely won't buy a post-war bungalow missing a sump system again, but if I do, WaterBGone will be doing the installation."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Ortonville, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
