"Jaymey was great to work with and had excellent communication.  A good part of this renovation was done while I was out of state and yet I felt very comfortable with what was being done.  He was full of great ideas and always had a way to get around the problems we encountered, which were many as most of the previous work in the house had been a previous owner's do-it-yourself work.  I was amazed at his patience as he worked to make sure I was happy with the work.  The quality of his work is outstanding.
I knew what I wanted to do,  (make one big room from the shopped up room already existing, redo existing very minimal poorly designed and cramped bathroom  with only small shower and sink, and add toilet and storage, and add shower to bathroom upstairs)
However, with Jaymey's input, the design became so much better.  There were all kinds of pipes hanging down taking up space, the lighting was terrible,  there was no storage.  There was a water softener, water heater, oil drum, taking up space that are now hidden along with the additional storage area.  The upstairs bathroom had only a tub and was very small and cramped.
Because of Jaymey's expertise and willingness to work with me I now have a beautiful carpeted basement, with one great room, a bedroom with an egress window, a laundry room with a laundry table and a cabinet for storage, and a beautiful bathroom with cabinets for storage, a heater and blower, toilet, and a large beautifully tiled shower, and new windows.  Upstairs the door was changed to make more room, the window was replaced with a vinyl window so that we could have a shower without worrying about getting the wood wet,  the walls were tiled around the tub and up high so a shower could be added.  All the hardware was replaced and everything was painted.
We had to have major plumbing and electrical work done as part of this project and Jaymey found excellent contractors for thisproject.
I would be happy to work with this company again as I believe they do everything to make sure the customer is happy and their work is really quality.  I could not be happier.

"Contractor met at the site to review the conditions and then provided an estimate. We set a date the crew would arrive and the contractor called several days before to see if they could come a day ahead of schedule. We were delighted they could start early. they arrived promptly at 8:00 AM on the start date and began work. The crew was courteous and worked diligently to finish the job in 2 1/2 days. Each day they cleaned up the site before they left and when the work was completed they cleaned the site very nicely. At several point the contractor had questions about how we wanted the details completed and we were happy to be consulted on these issues. We added a layer of closed cell insulation under the metal roof to help dampen the sound and teh contractor provide the additional material at a very fair price.

"When we first looked to having this work done we called two local contractors who had been recommended by local flooring supply contractors. They either did not show up for an estimate  and/or return our calls. Next we signed up for Angie's list and contacted Bob because he had a good rating.

Bob was very good to work with and communicated with us at every step. When we were going to get our estimate done, he called that morning and asked to reschedule so he could finish another job that day. The day of the estimate he could keep the original time, but was also in our area and could come earlier. He figured the price while he was there and offered us a list of references - both customers and businesses. We agreed on the price and he came by the next day with a contract - which included an approximate date. We paid half up front.

The week of the work we called him and explained our renters had scheduled a party for that Saturday. He assured me the work would be done by Friday. The next day he called and let us know he would drop off his trailer on Wednesday evening and his crew would complete the job by Thursday evening.

The crew showed up Thursday morning and did the work quickly and nicely. They were very polite and helpful, getting me measurements so I could pick up new thresholds that day, which they also installed. By late afternoon they had finished the work, cleaned up all the debris, and tidied up the leftover flooring. They did a walk through with the tenants (I was unavailable). I called him that evening. We set an appointment the next day and did a walk through and I paid him the second half of the contracted amount.

When we need any flooring work done in the future, he will be the first one we call. I was exceptionally happy with the work he did and the way he kept in touch with us. He answered his phone or called us. I highly recommend working with ACB Construction."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Osage, MN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
