"We've worked with Gustavo on two projects and I would absolutely hire him again in the future. The most recent project was fairly large. We hired him as the general contractor to convert our unfinished attic space into two bedrooms and one bathroom. This involved demolishing a portion of the roof, framing a large dormer, and the entire interior, electrical, plumbing, insulation and all finishing. I could trust Gustavo throughout the process and could tell that he put great pride in his work and was always striving for quality. For example, I am not particularly knowledgeable about construction, but one of our neighbors pointed out to us that they noticed he was using high quality materials compared to the wood that comes from home depot. We had the architect on site several times throughout the project and he never had any concerns with the work being done. No issues came up during any of our inspections by the town and the building inspector also made comments to us that the work looked to have been well done. We got several bids on the project and I also appreciated that Gustavo gave us an itemized proposal including separating material and labor costs for all the work he was planning to do. He was also willing to work with us on creating a reasonable payment schedule for the project. The other project was more medium size. During our home inspection prior to purchasing our house the inspector identified that the construction on the deck in the back was done very poorly by the previous owners. The joists were all rotting, flashing was not installed correctly causing the sill plate of the house to begin rotting. The project involved repairing the poorly done work. The project was a few years back so I can't remember all the details, but there were no hiccups of note that I can recall."

"I first hired Westbrook to remodel a bathroom for me in summer of 2019. It was a gut reno, the room was back to the studs. Dave's team was incredible, the work is absolutely beautiful. The team was easy to work with and cleaned up the site at the end of the day much better than previous contractors I worked with. Dave had great suggestions for how to make what I wanted to do work. When there were a few difficulties with the pieces I ordered, Dave worked with the bathroom supply company to resolve them. This year in October, we had a water leak in our front hall. I texted Dave in a panic at 6:30 in the morning and he walks me through what to do and had the plumber he works with in my house by 9am. (Don't text your contractor at 6:30, it's not nice, but Dave is an absolute hero). The remediation crew (NOT Westbrook) my insurance company sent to deal with removal of the water damaged material was not good. They knocked things down without asking questions. They damaged my marble floor and they destroyed a plaster arch that was original to my 1920s house. It's one thing to bring a contractor in to make an ugly part of your house pretty, but it's heartbreaking to bring in a crew to try to restore your destroyed home. Dave somehow managed to put everything to rights. There was fine carpentry work (a built in bench/radiator cover/storage piece that had been destroyed), plaster work (restoring the arch, fixing cracks in the plaster caused by water damage), and for the few things he didn't do, he knew someone (like a marble refinisher to restore the floors the remediation crew damaged). I also want to say that it's incredibly hard having someone work in your home during the pandemic but Gustavo was excellent. He followed COVID safety protocols completely. My hall looks even better than it did before the damage (and it had been newly done when the damage occurred). I honestly can't thank Westbrook enough for making this incredibly difficult process as painless as possible. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them unreservedly."

The crew also came on time earl in the morning and worked on repair all of the loose flagstone and steps. Looks like new!! The work crew cleaned up after they were done. "Lajos is a true professional. When looking for someone to replace my windows I got a couple of quotes before hiring anyone. He was the only one who called the window place on the spot to get an estimate for me. He is hard working and extremely precise. He made sure everything was measured to a T before cutting anything. The windows he put in are well insulated and look amazing. Our neighbors (who we don't really know well) were also having work done on their house a few days after Lajos finished his job. "Al is very reliable. My Reno was complicated and involved some significant structural work. He was either on my job site every day or in touch with me by phone or text to keep me up to date on the work. This is not a guy who will go missing on you. Unlike others, he was great about making all required filings and getting all sign offs needed from the local Building department. He also worked very well with my architect. His carpenter, Louis, and his painter/plasterer, Johnathan were wonderful too. I would recommend him for future projects."
