"Adam and the boys spent quality time with our underground oil tank and the piping configured with it. They drained water (a bonus feature we didn⠠t realize can accompany any oil delivery) from the tank and outfitted the girl with new fill lines and oil lines to the tank. It was a masterpiece; sad it had to be covered with sand! The men were professional, timely, answered questions, worked quickly and courteously. "My experience with Pacific Stone and Tile was a positive one. There were a few things that I wish were done differently, but nothing major. The gentleman that does the measurements came out to our house on the day that was scheduled and took all necessary measurements. While measuring, he told me that the current counter tops were leaving too much space between the cabinet base and the stove on either side and asked if I wanted it to be closer, as it should be done. I, of course, said yes and expected a tighter fitting for the stove. Once the measurements were taken, we scheduled installation to be done one week later. During that time, we were to choose a granite to have installed and when I told him that I wanted to choose the granite slab, he was kind enough to send me to a location they do business with that is a much shorter commute for me. The people at the granite warehouse were absolutely fantastic. So kind and helpful. . . Direct Granite Importers in Woburn, MA.
The only two problems that developed during the course of that week were being told that our small kitchen would have a seem because of the way that the slab was cut for the space and they showed up several hours later than scheduled for installation without so much as a courtesy phone call. The seem issue was solved quickly - I told them that I would rather keep our existing counter tops that do not have a seem than to change the color and have a hideous seem that would definitely be noticeable in such a small space. The gentleman that I was working with from Pacific Stone and Granite, told me he would see what he could do and get back to me. He called me back promptly with a solution - the granite dealer let him purchase half a slab and would charge me $250 additional to complete the install without a seem. That solution worked for me so we moved forward. The day of the install, we were scheduled in the morning but as afternoon approached, I had heard nothing. Of course this is extremely annoying when your whole day is wasted because you are waiting for someone to show up. I finally called and was told that their machine broke earlier in the week so everyone was pushed back and his staff would be that late afternoon. It was really inconsiderate to not let us know and I think lack of communication is always bad business. Anyways, the two men showed up for install - they very simply popped the existing counter tops off and replaced them with beautiful, flawless counter tops that I love. They were very clean, very quick and efficient. I was so pleased with them that I drove to an ATM so I would be able to tip them for doing such a good job.

"They showed up on time and kept busy until the job was done, took all day, which was fine. However, all of the brand new copper and water filtration system we had just paid for in the prior work done a week before, had all been taken down, which is fine but Ward Water took all of the brand new copper piping and kept it, which I hadn't realized until they were gone. What also struck me as odd, was when they finished, I was out front waiting for my daughter to get off the school bus. They packed up and drove from the back yard into the front where I was standing. I thought they were going to stop and explain what they did, how to maintain this system, what type of salt and soda ash to buy, better yet, how I even mix the solution to pour into the softener system so I don't accidently poison or harm my family, as we drink, cook and bathe with it. No, they kept on driving away, so I thought maybe they had to run and get a part at the store and they would be back but no, that was it. In the meantime, my mother had made the check out to Ward Water for payment before talking to me, so that was that. When I went down stairs, I was shocked to find that everyt hing we had just paid for the week prior was 1, taken down but 2, gone from the house. Then I see a big bin of salt connected to this very hard to understand computer system, a bucket of soda ash next to it, and an empty bucket marked with a sharpie stating "fill line" I had to read the manuals they left a million times and had to figure out on my own how to mix the solution, I assumed where they marked " fill line " was how much water to use and they marked the soda ash cup, so I assumed that was how much to use for the water bucket. They left the empty bag to the salt, my guess was that was going to tell me what salt to purchase but left no advice on where to buy these things, no spare filters for the filtration, but the work we paid for the week before, that plumber showed us how to use everything, stocked us up with spare filters, showed us all work performed etc.. Ward Water just did the work, explained nothing, left us guessing what their sharpie comments were about, took all of our new copper piping and replaced it with plastic flimsy piping, took our new water filtration system we just paid for as well, left nothing that we paid for the week before. I would have kept that copper piping in case of future breaks, leaks, repairs etc..And, it should have been up to us to either hold on to the new filtration system we had just paid for the week prior or sell it to help pay for what Ward Water did. I was very disappointed that they took our materials that we paid for but also, didn't take 5 minutes to at least tell me what they did, show me how to mix the solution, use the computer, where to buy more materials, or ask me if I wanted to keep MY copper or water filtration system, as it was obvious that they were all brand new and then to replace all the copper with plastic was very disappointing. My mother paid a pretty penny for the work they performed but we were left reading the manuals, which are so hard to understand and guessing and learning as we went. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Ward Water unless you will be down in your basement right over their shoulders the whole time. Thanks
