"Had a sump, perimeter gutter and vapor barrier installed. Took a couple of days over the estimate due to very well constructed concrete floor. Steven, Johnny and Chris were very personable and professional. They were extremely disappointed when they were unable to hit the estimate due to the concrete being difficult to jack hammer, but they came back and worked hard and got it finished. They were as clean as one can be when dealing with concrete and drywall. Very considerate about our property as a whole and walked me through their progress every day. Would recommend."

"I had the apron of my driveway and five sections of sidewalk replaced. They tore out the old concrete and cleaned all the debris and did a very nice job replacing all the concrete. They put back the sod that was removed and left the area looking very good. They communicated with me during the job to let me know what was being done. I would recommend them."

"An automatic pool cover was installed on the pool the Summer of 2000. Extra concrete was used to support the track. In the last two years portions of the newer concrete had sunk about an inch and formed a hazard that could cause someone to stub their toes. I called AL CON and set a date for them to come and give me an estimate to fix. They were at my residence a couple days later and within 10 minutes of showing up, I had an estimate in hand. They informed me when they could come and did not require any down payment at that time. They were back when they said and performed the job in a very professional manner. The work is very good and the problem was solved. I would call these guys again, in a heartbeat, and recommend them to anyone who needs their concrete drives, decks, or sidewalks leveled."

"Very well. My sidewalk had settled and was causing a trip hazard. The estimate was done via email due to my tight timeline. Sent them pictures and received a response the next day. Actual cost was $25 over the estimate due to site characteristics not apparent on my photos but still sounded reasonable to me. They leveled 5 sidewalk squares including my front porch stoop. Work was done in a little over an hour and looks great!"

"went well. a couple of minor issues that were quickly resolved (had to move gate latch inside and replace a cracked board) He did a great job on leveling the fence since we had a few sloping spots. Also came up with an idea to angle one back corner panel to avoid a tree that bowed the old fence. After inspecting the fence and finding a cracked board he was there within an hour and replaced it. He also made the gate himself. My wife and I were very pleased with the work that was done. <br />"

"Dave came out to give us a quote sooner than they had told us they would be available and an entire month sooner than the other company that we called for a quote. He is a very friendly and down to earth person. He was very up front with us that he wasn't sure if the steps were fixable due to the way that they had been built. He gave us two quotes - one for the sidewalk and one for the sidewalk with the steps. He said if they couldn't get the steps to work then they wouldn't charge us for it. The were back within a week to do the work. They were professional and quick, and called me out to check if we liked the height the steps were at or wanted them a little higher. They were patient with me while I used FaceTime to let my husband see the steps as well and watch them be raised up higher. Dave explained to us exactly what was happening and how it worked. Dave was able to raise up our steps and sidewalk and they look so much better! There are cracks in them due to the previous slope/settling, and Dave took the time to talk to me about options for making it look nicer. The process created 3 round holes in the concrete which they cleaned and filled well, so it really looks very natural. I don't think most people would even notice them. I would definitely recommend Mudjackers. I think they are one of the few companies left out there that take personal pride and commitment in what they do. I didn't think to take "before" pictures, but I included some pictures of how it is now. We a very happy."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in West Lafayette, IN

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
