"Excellent, everything was done in a timely, professional manner. Very impressed with the service provided, everything was kept clean. Would definitely recommend this company for any work you would need done, would hire them back in a heartbeat for any future projects we have."

"Overall, the window-storm door-trim project was quite successful, but not without snags/problems. The first snag arose after I reminded Jaymey that the window openings on the south side were to receive the double hung windows. Jaymey immediately stated the instructions to one of his workers, who about a half-hour later (after Jaymey had left to check on another project) began to install a sliding window on the south side. Nonetheless, I spotted the mistake early, so that turned out okay. (It pays to keep a close eye on things.) The second snag arose from defective caulk. As I planned to paint the interior trim, paintable caulk was needed between the joints. However, a bad batch of caulk proved not to be paintable (save for one tube). I complained and Jaymey sent out an employee. The employee looked at the absence of adhesion and said that the interior trim was vinyl. I told him that it was wood. When he was convinced that it was wood, I said that the easiest fix was to replace the interior trim. He said that he was not comfortable with that and left. Nonetheless, after I spent several hours sanding off the caulk from the wood surface, the window installation turned out fine. The next snag was in the placement of the door handle-lock fixture in the storm door to the back yard entrance. Apparently, measurements weren’t taken prior to installing the fixture with the result that the plunger could not be engaged by using a key on the outside. Jaymey sent out an employee with a saw to shorten the plunger. After he shortened it and after I spent about 30 to 45 minutes filing down the sharp edges, the storm door installation too turned out fine. Another shortcoming was a string of quite noticeable scratches on the front entry door. My wife said that they were not there before work was done on the outside storm door. Nonetheless, the front door had some minor scratches from Christmas wreath decorations and likely should be repainted anyway. Finally, there was a blotch of something on one of the screens, quite irritating at the time, but weather apparently has removed it. So, overall, everything turned out not badly, in fact, quite good. I like Jaymey. Although most of his crew seem to me not to be overly endowed with talent (JC is an exception, he seems quite capable), if you keep a close eye on things, the work should turn out okay. With this caveat, I would recommend Dornbusch Construction. I also should remark that I may have Dornbusch Construction do more work in the future. I should also add that Jaymey always returns telephone calls and has a pleasant manner."

"This is the second job, John, Daryll, and company have done for us. I like the way they respect our home and take extra steps to keep the job as clean and neat as possible. They have skills that make them perfect for remodel jobs on older homes as well as newer homes. They provide the best "bang for the buck" if you wish to hire pros. And since I myself do not possess the necessary talents to do such fine work, I'm glad they're nearby."

"Contractor met at the site to review the conditions and then provided an estimate. We set a date the crew would arrive and the contractor called several days before to see if they could come a day ahead of schedule. We were delighted they could start early. they arrived promptly at 8:00 AM on the start date and began work. The crew was courteous and worked diligently to finish the job in 2 1/2 days. Each day they cleaned up the site before they left and when the work was completed they cleaned the site very nicely. At several point the contractor had questions about how we wanted the details completed and we were happy to be consulted on these issues. We added a layer of closed cell insulation under the metal roof to help dampen the sound and teh contractor provide the additional material at a very fair price. <br />"

"When we first looked to having this work done we called two local contractors who had been recommended by local flooring supply contractors. They either did not show up for an estimate  and/or return our calls. Next we signed up for Angie's list and contacted Bob because he had a good rating. <br /> <br /> Bob was very good to work with and communicated with us at every step. When we were going to get our estimate done, he called that morning and asked to reschedule so he could finish another job that day. The day of the estimate he could keep the original time, but was also in our area and could come earlier. He figured the price while he was there and offered us a list of references - both customers and businesses. We agreed on the price and he came by the next day with a contract - which included an approximate date. We paid half up front. <br /> <br /> The week of the work we called him and explained our renters had scheduled a party for that Saturday. He assured me the work would be done by Friday. The next day he called and let us know he would drop off his trailer on Wednesday evening and his crew would complete the job by Thursday evening. <br /> <br /> The crew showed up Thursday morning and did the work quickly and nicely. They were very polite and helpful, getting me measurements so I could pick up new thresholds that day, which they also installed. By late afternoon they had finished the work, cleaned up all the debris, and tidied up the leftover flooring. They did a walk through with the tenants (I was unavailable). I called him that evening. We set an appointment the next day and did a walk through and I paid him the second half of the contracted amount. <br /> <br /> When we need any flooring work done in the future, he will be the first one we call. I was exceptionally happy with the work he did and the way he kept in touch with us. He answered his phone or called us. I highly recommend working with ACB Construction."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Ottertail, MN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
