"I've been putting off writing this review because I wanted to do a good job, but I didn't want to miss my opportunity to applaud a company that provides top notch service and a touch of common sense in a crazy world.
I own a rental house that used to be my mom and dad's home.  It sits on an acre, and the water supply line is loooong.  It developed a leak, evidenced by a permanent muddy patch in the front yard.  I called three plumbers who I won't name, and they all said the same thing, almost like they were reading a script.  They said that if the line was leaking, it absolutely needed to be replaced from the meter to the house.  They gave me three prices ranging from $19,000 to $27,000 for this work.  I think that's dangerously close to the value of the house.  I was really desparate, and I called Dick Ray at S-M Plumbing.  He asked a number of well considered questions over the phone, and suggested that replacing the line should be the last resort (sounds like common sense to me).  He suggested that he could send a crew who could dig in the muddy area and try to find and fix the leak, estimated to be $3-$5000.  That sounded a lot better than $20,000.  And by the way, I'd rather give someone $20,000 to fix my water line if I knew they had exhausted more conservative approaches first, something that no other plumber (out of a total of four) was willing to consider.  Anyway, they came out, and Dick came too, the leak was fixed in a day, and it cost about $3000, at the low end of my expectations based on our phone calls.
Dick Ray is a brilliant plumbing guy, but in talking to him, I'm also convinced that his staff is just as good.  They all recieve regular (weekly) training and he really encourages professionalism in his staff.  I would/will call him the very next time I have a plumbing/heating/cooling problem, because I really think that honesty and common sense should be rewarded.  Plus I got my problem solved for thousands less than any of the competing companies I called, and dealing with Mr. Ray and SM PHC was a real pleasure.

"Courtney Miller was the Service Specialist that came to our home to take care of a clogged kitchen sink. This young man was courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. After asking questions to determine exactly what we had tried prior to his arrival he determined the best course of action was not to try and use the snake directly down the sink, but into the PVC line in the basement leading outside. It took awhile before he cleared out the clog in the line, making sure nothing leaked out onto our basement floor. After having me run hot water into the sink for quite awhile to insure the line was fully cleared, he suggested how we could use basic maintenance to keep the drain running clean in the future. Courtney is a great representative for your company and I will contact him again for any future problems."

"I am not very good at taking the time to write reviews, but my exceptional experience with Town & Country Heating & Cooling deserves my time. Owen and his crew recently replaced the boiler system in our home. We purchased a foreclosure 2 1/2 years ago and have spent 2 winters struggling with the existing system. We have worked with 3 other companies prior to finding Town & Country and were left with unresolved problems, resulting in limited heat, and obvious sales pitches that were not solely aimed at meeting our needs. I have truly learned that there are way too many contractors out there that are mostly focused on making the maximum amount of money. I found Town & Country's website, was attracted to their unique marketing scheme, and read carefully. They have a page titled "Why We Are Different". Though I questioned whether or not all of these things could be true, it was exactly what I have looked for in a contractor, but have never found. With great hope, I made my call. Owen, the owner, visited the next day. As we were about a week away from extreme cold conditions and had no heat, the response was amazing. Owen is knowledgeable, kind and honest. Based on this, I believed his opinion that we really needed to replace the system and the decision was so much easier having found someone that I trusted. He provided a fair estimate that met my expectations. He referred us to obtaining financing and followed the process carefully via his relationship with the bank. Our experience with the bank was excellent and we were approved. Two days after Owen's initial visit, they arrived to start removing the old system. The full removal and installation took just 1 1/2 days and we had heat. Amazing. His crew was friendly, professional and meticulous. Communication was excellent. I got text messages that said they were on their way. Owen stopped by numerous times during the process to oversee things. The final installation could not be more perfect. I was surprised at how visually detailed everything is put together. And, our house has never been more comfortable in the winter. Within a day, the temperatures dropped to the 20s and we truly felt saved. To top it off, Owen expressed so many thanks for our business. He even sent a personally written thank you note. Our gratitude goes out to Owen, his crew and entire company. I hope this review encourages many people to choose Town & Country. They truly are completely different than other contractors. They are exceeding their goals and their promises and I wish them the greatest success in the future."

"Terrific is an understatement! After being told by my HVAC company that they could not install a new hot water heater for 3 days, TJ at Metro Plumbing went above and beyond to make sure we had hot water before guests arrived the following day. He tracked down the unit we wanted, came to the house on a Saturday and he and his associate worked in tight quarters to the get the unit installed.
