He fixed my TV after another repair service told me the situation was hopeless if I didn't spend an unreasonable amount of money with them (after, of course, they'd missed their first appointment with me). When I asked if he was going to use a better quality unit or replace the problemmatic one with the same exact problemmatic one, he looked at me with a blank stare. Having paid a "discounted" rate from Angie's list, I got charged double for the ice maker unit.
When I asked the repairman if this would fix the problem he said maybe. That if this didn't work we could try to replace the water filter and if that didn't work we could try replacing the water line. I said "Sounds like we are just guessing and replacing things randomly". He said no, that there was an error code on the ice maker and once replaced the error code went away.
