"They showed up on time, did the work efficiently and left the area very clean. New system is a huge improvement over the old system. Two days after they installed, it started raining, and continued for 12 hours straight. I would normally have anywhere from wet spots on the floor to streams running to the floor drain. There was not a single drop of water anywhere, nor was there any damp smell. Glad I finally got this done. I can now replace the flooring in the basement with confidence. Highly recommend! They know what they are doing, and get it done. Had one whole wall (about 32' ) replaced. They got there at 9am and were gone by 3pm. Can't say enough good things about them. No run-around or annoying games played. Use them, you won't regret it."

"The Davey Tree Expert Company Today me and my husband thought we were going to cut down a tree. And my husband did a great job to start but the dang tree wouldn't fall. Being afraid that the tree would fall the wrong way we had to call out for help from some experts. We had one to come by and he decided that the tree was in a dangerous state and we were told that it would take a team and two days to get it all taken care of and also it would be 6 weeks before they could get it. Called one more Davey tree expert company. They sent a gentleman named Kyle and right away he ran to take a look at it and then ran to his car and pulled out a rope. He then proceeded to tie the rope to the tree and then another and created a pully system. And in 20 minutes with our help the tree was down. He was a wonderful person to just jump in an start working with it. Very knowledgable and professional and fixed our worries fast. We were afraid the tree would fall the wrong way and he fix it all."

"I hired Quality Waterproofing to extend a buried downspout/sump pump drain that was poorly placed by a competitor 4 years ago. The competitor placed the pop up drain 10 feet from the house in a low spot, which created a swamp. Quality did an A+ job fixing the problem. They were timely, professional and UNDER budget. Very honest and high quality work. They even did some extra sodding and dirt work at no charge."

"I have had KPM at my house several times and would recommend them to anyone needing outdoor work done. Casden dug a 200ft trench to bury my sump pump line and after his excellent grading and hydroseeding it's impossible to tell where in my yard he dug. He was professional, on time, and went above and beyond, offering to use his equipment to help me move some storm damaged trees out of my yard before he left for the day. KPM is and will continue to be the first company I'll call when I have outdoor needs. Thanks KPM for multiple great experiences!"

"We hired Ron Sansone Construction to replace a combination brick paver and stone entrance walkway, which had deteriorated over many years.   We wanted to retain the approximate original design with a combination of red bricks and white stepping stones.   Ron Sansone recommended replacing the brick pavers with a better brick installed on a concrete base and mortared.  He also suggested widening the walk as it neared the front entrance of the house.  Given the rainy spring, the work didn't begin until about a month after signing the contract and making a deposit.   But, work commenced in late May, with the removal of the old walkway and the pouring of a cement base.   Over the next three weeks the bricks were laid, the stone steps were cut and laid, and everything was mortared.   The project was completed in early June.   It looks great.   A nice touch was a temporary mail box that Sansone installed because the mail carrier wasn't able to get to the normal box.   He also put a pvc pipe pass through under the walkway to allow routing of irrigation hoses.  The work crew were uniformly polite, and cleaned the work area after they completed the job.   They seemed to be very skilled, and seemed to really enjoy constructing the walkway. <br />"

"John Paul was reponsive and prompt to do the inspection for the estimate.  After the proposal was accepted, the miscommunication and then complete lack of communication began.  I was unable to get any kind of schedule or idea of when the work would be done.  Finally after more than 3 weeks with no contact, I started the process of getting some new estimates and started to accept a proposal with another contractor.  The following morning John Paul called me to say he would be out that morning to do the chimney work, and that he would do the finish work the following day.  This was all very unexpected. <br /> The work itself was done well and John was very nice. <br />"

"<p>I do my own gardening and such but I can tell you they are very helpful. If you bring in measurements for your house, pictures, they will send somebody out but it costs like $200/$250. Their products are wonderful and if you have any problems, in the past couple of months here in the state of Missouri it's been kind of tough with landscaping. And they will keep up and replace anything that doesn't not make it. And there is a company locally that doesn't do that. For the quality you get the price is reasonable. Their staff is so helpful. They are always very helpful. Any questions you have. Anything. The selection, the quality, the staff, are top notch. </p>"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Pacific, MO

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
