"Michael is an increasingly rare example of a tradesman who recommends what you *actually* need â even if what you *think* you need would make him a lot more money. During his first visit, he spent almost an hour inspecting every aspect of our HVAC system and asking what issues we were noticing. He explained that replacing our existing equipment wouldnâ t solve the issue because our 70-year-old house was never designed for central HVAC in the first place. He instead recommended a mini-split setup in the area of the house that doesnâ t heat or cool well. The resulting work was less than half the cost of replacing our entire system â which was what I originally called him to price out.
