"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

"They sent the packet (template, and questions) and I filled it out, completed the template design the way it was instructed and then mailed it back in a postage paid envelope. Got it back and it fits perfectly and exactly what I needed! A couple spots were a little off but so glad to have it fit the detailed cut corners of the table. Also got the leaf pad bags and a bag for all the pads when not using at a discounted price. GREAT PRODUCT!"

"First, let me start by saying that we are extremely pleased with the end result of the kitchen renovation. My designer, Catherine, created a great space to my specifications which was not easy as we were more aware of what we did not like versus what we liked. The project manager, Adem, was professional and kept to the time table. Luis, the head contractor was also very good and his crews were excellent. We were particularly impressed on how tidy they left the work space every day and the quality of their work. Our one small complaint is the lack of communication we experienced. Catherine often promised getting back to us within a day and we did not hear from her for weeks. The progress of the work could have been explained more clearly to us (this was our first renovation ever so did not know what to expect at all): a weekly email would alleviate a lot of the questions we asked. The renovation of a kitchen is no easy project as it is so disruptive to the day-to-day running of a home but we feel that KBR Kitchen accomplished the renovation in a timely manner and we just love how it looks. We highly recommend them."

"I was referred to the company by my interior designed and am so happy she made the referral!  In a 10 minute phone call with Stephen Palmer, he was able to provide an estimate and book an appointment at a time convenient for my schedule.  This is in contrast to a large area company the I contacted for an estimate who insisted on an in-home estimate--something I frankly, would have have difficulty scheduling with work commitments.  Stephen was prompt to the appointment and I was given a call 30 minutes before his arrival to let me know when he would be arriving.  I was on a conference call when he arrived and I very much appreciated his ability to get right to work even though I wasn't able to give him my full attention for some time.  He completed the work professionally and pointed out some wiring issues not directly related to the job at hand.  When the job was complete he left the space as clean as when he arrived.  He took the time to explain some things related to the wiring and installation.  At the end of the day, not only did I have a beautiful lighting fixture installed, I learned a few new things as well!  As an added bonus, he was kind enough to give a look at another job we might wish to do in the future and provide a rough estimate for the work.  I will be calling Stephen Palmer again when we have electrical work to be done."

"I interviewed a number of local contractors, all with high Angie?s List ratings, for a master bath remodel project. I?m planning to put the house on the market shortly afterward so was not looking for a gold-plated, Trump Taj Mahal redesign, but a quality job using classic design elements that would not alienate potential buyers. Todd and his crew from TLG Tile delivered a stunning finished product and I could not be happier. For about $2000 more than a quote from another contractor that was going to produce an ?I picked all this stuff up at Home Depot? style bathroom I got a custom master bath that, quite literally, makes me wonder every day if I really want to sell the house.
Every member of the crew TLG brought in to the do the work was a consummate professional did a fantastic job, from the painters and tile guys to the electrician and plumbers. They completely gutted the bathroom (approx. 12? x 6?) on a Monday and were finished by Friday afternoon. Any little hiccups along the way, and in any project there will be a few, were dealt with quickly and professionally and never impacted the schedule in a significant way. 
I would recommend TLG Tile to any List member without hesitation and plan on using them in the future any time I need kitchen, bath or tile work done.

"This was a great experience.  Working with Terry and Ramone of ADC, the project was only delayed due to weather and a cracked shower pan.  They communicated constant status and weighed in on any design elements.

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."
