"Hired Ed Ryan to enclose a large rear porch and convert it into two bedrooms and a small home office and a 23 foot by 7 foot rear patio. Ed was very professional and easy to work with. He was really good about keeping us informed sharing the good and bad news as the project progressed. We are very pleased with end result. The project took longer than we had planned but it was because of delays with the city's plan approval process. We almost did not choose him because he was the low bidder out of five we interviewed. D&D Aluminum is a great company. Carey Tarplay came to our  home to give an estimate. He suggested we visit his showroom, which we did. We were able to see all of the options to choose from, styles, colors, etc.  We wanted to replace our old sliding glass doors with French doors and Carey explained everything that needed to be done and helped us choose the proper layout for the side glass and French doors.  My husband and I had checked out a couple of competitors showrooms and I had fallen in love with a front door at one of them. D&D Aluminum didn't carry this line, but Carey said not to worry, he would be able to special order this door for us. This was above and beyond the service I expected.

The doors and windows were installed on time and perfect.  The Cooper City building inspector said it was a great job.

We are so happy with the workmanship that we now are using D&D Aluminum to add a screened in patio to the back of our house.

We obtained bid from Gulfstream in March of 2013 with the
intent of having work done in January of 2014.  After obtaining design approval
for both the window enclosure and front door by our condo HOA we signed a
contract during the summer of 2013 and provided a 50% down payment.  The contract stipulated work was to be
completed by mid-January, 2014.

Because we would not arrive in Florida until late December
of 2013, we arranged to have a neighbor give Gulfstream access to our condo in
October of 2013 to do final measurements before ordering materials.  However, Gulfstream
didn?t reach out to the neighbor until late November and therefore measurement did not take
place until the first week in December.

We arrived in Florida at the end of December, 2013 and
reached out to Gulfstream to determine when we could expect them to begin
work.  At that time we were advised that
the front door and the frame for the windows/screen could be installed, but
there would be a delay on the installation of the windows/screens of about a
week.
After the front door was installed we realized they
installed the wrong front door.  To Gulfstream?s
credit the salesperson came out that afternoon to review the work and agreed
they had made an error.  The correct door
was installed within a week.  Amazingly
we learned the Sales Manager (who we understand is no longer with them) took it
upon himself to change the door order because someone he knows that lives in
this community told him, in error, the door we had selected would not meet the
condo board?s approval.  We couldn?t
believe that change could be made without ever contacting us to discuss.
Re: the windows/screens, the date constantly shifted.  The communication was poor with regard to the
shifting dates ? the onus was on us to check to see if the last date
communicated would hold.    At least two
weeks went by before the owner finally advised us she was having trouble with
the supplier.  It appeared she was afraid
to give us bad news.  Ironically,
consistently giving us unreliable or no information only made it more
frustrating for us as we had other contractors lined up to do work in the
lanai.
Despite the hiccups, we are very happy with the quality of
the workmanship and the products.  The
two person team who did the installation was wonderful.  They came when they said they would, took
great pride in the work they did and took great care to clean up after they
completed their work.

"Overall Dan was very professional, responsive and punctual. It is amazing when you have a vendor show up at the time promised! He was always at least 10 minutes before the promised time. Dan and Tony were able to complete the long lists of items within a few days. I appreciate all of your hard work and dedication. The guys even came to my place on a Sunday to put in a half day to meet my deadlines. Be sure to be clear when giving direction - we had a couple mistakes that had to be fixed along the way due to paint selection in the wrong areas within the property. Dan and Tony fixed the issues once addressed with no complaints. Dan went above and beyond to help me with issues that arose during the project (i.e. exchanging a damaged bathroom vanity and minor retro fitting to old plumbing). Thank you again Dan for everything! "I am soooo happy with the work that Christine and her company did!!! I ended up having to leave earlier than expected so with a leap of faith, I left a key for her. She works with 2 other women and they cleaned my house from top to bottom, inside and outside of everything! They went beyond my expectations and even organized my hall closet! They clearly take tons of pride in their work and company. While everything from floors and baseboards to windows and ceiling fans were spotless, I was most impressed with how well my kitchen and bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned (God, did they need it). My house smelled soooo clean and my kids and I got home and we couldn't stop remarking how great everything looked!!! Best money I have spent in a long time! Now I can spend the weekend playing with my kids instead of cleaning! I definitely recommend Christine and her crew and will use them again!!
