"They were tireless in their efforts and removed the stump with shovels, and 2 bushes and carted it all away. While here. They offered to come back and remove a defunct sprinkler from the property. I had co dude CR in them and will use them again."

"Brett did not do any of the work himself as 2 young gentleman showed up who didn?t even know who Brett was. After their phone call?s, they did the main part of the yard yet not the 3 sections were originally quoted on. (They came at 11:30 AM on April 28th and again on the 30th) I reached out to Brett about continuing/finishing? ManyTexts were exchanged (and kept) with different prices. Without going into further detail, he was immediately paid and parties parted on neutral terms."

"Once again the Neils Lunceford team of Tim Glasco, Sales; Abe Hoffmann, Installation and Don Clark, Maintenance came through again with two beautiful Evergreen trees for our backyard. We have been with this great landscaping company for six years now and continue to be impressed with their workmanship and respect for their customers. "Jared and Chris came out as agreed, on time, and began by digging into the bank and creating a level foundation for our wall.  Then they dug a drainage canal, filled it with screening material used for french drains, put in a drain over the bluff, and filled with small rocks to be used for the drainage, and bringing the floor back to level.  They then began the rock wall by laying a layer of block, filling with more rocks, leveling, adding a mesh support engineered to add substantial stability to the wall.  They did this up to the top (about 7 feet high and 30 feet wide) and placed the cap stones.  With each layer of the mesh and block, they used a compactor to hold the mesh in place and add more stability to the wall.  <br /> I can't imagine having anyone doing a better job.  This is the type of system that many road and bridge departments use for retaining walls on the sides of roads and highways.  I am sure that this wall will be here long after we and the next generation or two have gone.  <br /> We appreciate their work and would recommend them without reservation to anyone needing retaining wall work. <br />"

"I was away while the work was done and pleasantly surprised when I returned home...the soil was prepared as agreed, flowers planted, irrigation installed, and it looked good. After a few weeks when plants started blooming, it looked Great and still does. My neighbor asked me for her name and number because he was impressed with the work and with the lack of loafing on the part of the crew. and quot; They workedand quot; he said. and quot;No leaning on shovels and talking on cell phonesand quot;. I was obviously happy to hear that. The colors and aesthetic appearance is wonderful....Lynn knows what she is doing and I would hire her again without hesitation. <br />"

"I wanted an extensive reworking of my landscape. Two of the companies that I contacted didn't even return my calls. One gave me an estimate of $30.K and charged for the visit and estimate. Tom didn't charge for the estimate/visit, and seemed more interested in listening to what I wanted, so I chose his company. His estimate was less than $20.K. <br /> Prior to the work, Tom made several visits to the jobsite and worked up extensive plans which he went over with us in great detail. He asked us to pick out colors, type of stone etc locally, with several options and prices known up front. He came up with a final estimate which was the maximum he would charge; if it worked out to be less for some components, he would charge less. We agreed and gave the go-ahead. The workmen got everything ready for a Monday morning start in advance, and were here doing the work exactly when they said they would be. I was around for about 1/2 of the time they were working. They worked hard, no smoking, drinking or excessive breaks but Tom also took good care of his men and didn't let them overdo it in the summer heat. The work took longer than estimated (such things always do) and of course there were problems on the way: a minor flood from a hidden water line break, broken wires, etc. etc. I felt these things were to be expected in a project this large and complex; I also felt that Tom and his men were very responsive to me whenever I pointed out problems (even on weekends) and they also found and took care of several problems without my finding them first, but they did show me what had happened and were transparent about their mistakes even if I didn't notice them. I appreciated that. <br /> My husband was upset about the cost of the project and gave me a hassle constantly throughout the time they were here. I felt Tom and his supervisors did an excellent job consulting with us and dealing with my husband's sometimes very difficult manner. I am very picky and opinionated myself, and they made sure to involve me all the time and kept me well informed. <br /> The stairway building didn't work out exactly as planned and ended up taking more material and considerably longer than estimated. The resultant stairway was extraordinarily beautiful. Because of this, we asked Tom and folks to make a major change, by adding a flagstone patio where we had planned to build a deck ourselves when they were done. The additional cost estimate was about 1/3 of what I had expected, so we said "yes". They had to schedule that project about a week after everything else was done, which was fine with us. The total charge was above the estimate given above, due to the addition of this patio, which is appropriate. They were very clear about timing issues all the way through, and dealt with the vagaries of weather and injury to workmen appropriately and keeping us informed as they went. <br /> The only negative comment I would have is that they only had experience doing ponds full of rocks/gravel (to completely conceal the liner) and I didn't want that, having had a pond before (putting rocks in the bottom eventually leads to buildup of gunk and extra work to clean the pond). They were quite willing to do it my way, but didn't really know how to go about it, and I had to give more guidance than I had expected. However, after a bit of hassle they did it quite well and the ponds are beautiful and functioning very well, and my fish and plants are happy. <br /> Overall the project took about 1/3 longer than projected, which is why I slightly downgraded them as to punctuality; they actually were very punctual but the time estimate was just off. There were a few estimated cost underruns which were rebated back to me, and several significant cost overruns (mainly in labor expense) that I was NOT charged for, as previously agreed. There were a couple of minor problems which I was told "We will be back to fix it next week"--AND THEY WERE! (with no prompting from me!) I should also note that they did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. <br /> I am VERY happy with how this project turned out. Last night my husband thanked me for getting it done, told me how happy he was with it, and noted that we already don't miss the money it cost. I don't think the cost was in any way excessive for the amount of work that was done. My yard is already (1 month later) MUCH easier to take care of, more usable and fun, and clearly will be drop-dead gorgeous once all the plants get established. I felt all the way through the project that I was dealing with ethical, honest, reasonable and reliable people who were pleasant and enjoyable to work with and who I trusted being at my house without me there. This applies to everyone that I met in the company, from the owner to the greenest trainee. I heartily recommend Tom and his folks if you need landscaping done. <br />"

"The first day: I was happy to have the help but I thought it went very slow. They pulled weeds between my lavender plants and laid weed cloth between the rows. Three people took eight hours. I thought it was excessive. The second day: Pulled out our heirloom trumpet vine. Didn't pull the elm tree stump. These things were clearly stated. Both days he said he'd bring two people, brought three each time. I"m not one to haggle. I am a trusting individual. I joined this site because I didn't want to be taken advantage of. This is a pay site and it has been my hope that the people represented on this list represent quality contractors. I trust feedback. I feel duped. I find $30.00 an hour for unskilled labour is a bit over the top. I understand it's hard work. I do it as well, but when I'm paying that much money to someone I expect they do what's asked. This is a case of not getting what you paid for."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Parachute, CO

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
