Today, they replaced the fence at my daughter's town house, and I have to say that the quality of the materials and the workmanship is outstanding. They did a 3.5 foot picket fence in the front, and a 6 foot privacy fence in the back. The posts are 4x4 or 6x6 (for the gate) pressure treated, and the rest of the fence is cedar. The fence is beautiful. Even the nails are all in a line on the pickets. I would highly recommend Fine Fence."

Frank, the owner, came out to give me an estimate. Frank was professional, knowledgeable and honest (something you don't find often). After receiving his estimate, which beat all his competitors, I decided to go with Madison. I could not be more thrilled with the job they did. They were scheduled to start the job on a Monday, to my surprise they came out early (Thursday) to remove and haul away my old chain link fence, deliver materials and prep everything for Monday. As promised they arrived on Monday morning. I have huge fence line and they completed the fence in a day and a half. His crew was also very professional, polite and accommodating. "The Village Carpenter, Mark L., did an excellent job rebuilding my deck. I had 10 long floor boards that were rotten and needed to be replaced. The deck looked somewhat the worse for wear and needed a fresh coat of stain. Mark gave me a detailed estimate right away. He noticed that some of the wood I had purchased had not been treated properly and so he took care of that on my behalf with out increasing the estimate. He removed all the old materials. The deck now looks brand new and I feel happy every time I go out on it. The best thing about all this was that he actually followed through and did things quickly and well for exactly what he had estimated. There was none of this "and when is he coming back to finish the job," which I've experience with other contractors. He works hard and well, is friendly and reliable, and does what he says he's going to do. He has also rebuilt my front steps which was a more complex operation that I'm also very happy with. "Phase 1 rep first worked up yard plan in fall 2008, but construction on new addition and funds tight. We liked them enough to ask them to return in fall 2009. Rep amenable to dividing the job into phases. Designer and rep came up with interesting, unique approaches. Rep on site frequently and worked with project manager to adapt ideas to realities of installation. Very happy with final product. Phase 2 brought new rep, Shannon Reed, who worked with original plan and adapted it freely to fit our budget. We also had a deadline--a graduation party on June 11. Shannon emailed daily and kept up great communication. He had great ideas and worked with designer on a great combination of hardscape and plantings. When first budget presented overshot our budget, he adjusted freely, without compromising integrity of design. He is a friendly, eager to please person, and we enjoyed working with him. Installation team was professional and detailed, always leaving job in clean condition, even when not finished. Our project is small in comparision to lots of the work they do, but we were treated as if our city yard was a country mansion--very much appreciated."
