"It was a steady process. Of course there were hiccups along the way, but with Renaissance & myself working as a TEAM on this project, everything was done & done well. I do believe that is KEY on any project, especially one of this size. I told Jamie at the beginning of the project that communication was VERY important to me. Jamie was quick to address any questions or concerns I had. He picked up my calls every time. I will hire Renaissance Restoration for all home improvements and/or updates."

"Bryan Craft returned my call the next day which was very responsive compared to other contractors that never returned my call at all. He was able to start the job within the next week and upon first meeting him, was instantly likeable. He was professional but also easy to talk to and did everything I asked for the project. He had difficult areas to work with on this job and handled them with no problem nor complaint. I appreciated his tips and suggestions. There were add-ons along the way and he charged accordingly and was very reasonable with his rates. I would hire him again with no hesitation. His work was of excellent quality."

"The measuring and estimating was done very professionally. The door was very high quality. There was a little confusion on their part whether or not the door had to be special or standard and required multiple people visiting, which slowed things down about 2 weeks, but they got it sorted out and was not a problem, just took a little longer. Installation was excellent, professional. We are very happy with the job and the door especially is very nice. We will definitely be contacting them to look at future projects."

"He seemed very knowledgeable. He came out right away. I had a very favorable impression of him. The only problem is that he is very busy so it will be awhile before he can get to the project. I subsequently emailed him a few times and he always answers right back and give real answers. I just asked him about materials for the door. He told me that he would tell me when he could come out and I haven't asked him about it. He focuses on one job at a time and he is in a major job right now building a barn."

"The Crofts were quick to respond to my flooding problem. They diagnosed the issue, replaced the sump pump and helped with other minor plumbing repairs. They were EXTREMELY helpful and went out of their way chase down parts etc... without charging me an arm and a leg (not like what I've experienced with other plumbers). I'll use them on any plumbing needs I have in the future... guaranteed."

"The place is beautiful top to bottom. The quality of work is exceptional. I'm very happy with the choices made in the kitchen layout, the cabinets and fixtures along with the counter tops. I love the lighting they chose in the kitchen, too! The sun room is gorgeous and inviting. This is an older home and I appreciate how they preserved much of the historic qualities while still bringing it up to date and making it very comfortable to live in. The carpet, the wood flooring and the paint choices in every room are very tasteful, modern and easy to decorate around. I honestly couldn't be happier and I would recommend this company wholeheartedly. It is a family owned business and I felt like the attention they paid to details was very personal. They do really care that it's done right."

"I was so impressed with how quickly and effortlessly they completed the job. They always showed up when they said they would and left the work area tidy between work times. I will use them again and again for all my update and remodel needs."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Parma, MI

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
