"We got lots of estimates to install an irrigation system and landscape lighting. When I met with Joe he was not interested in selling me equipment but spent the time going over what we actually needed....especially for landscape lighting. His approach was great, he came up with a solution for our watering needs and a simple version for the landscape lighting since we weren't sure how much light we wanted.....Once we see it, if we want more highlighting it could easily be added.....which we did on 2 other occasions. His workers too great care of my property and when they had a question about location of sprinkler head they came and discussed it with me before moving forward. One of the best contractor experiences we have had. Almost forgot...we have a collection area where all the underground pipes disperse water from our gutters. That was always full of water when Joe mentioned that the pip wasn't done correctly....since he had the equipment and the machinery already on the property he took care of that for me. Even with this wet spring we have not seen any signs of water from the collection area overflowing. I've already referred them to many neighbors since everyone loves the landscape lighting."

"Most of their work is excellent, but there are problems, and they are overpriced, to the extent of price-gouging. They installed a sprinkler system at our home 10 years ago, and for the most part it went well, but they wired the system in to the light fixture in the garage, which of course meant that when we turned the garage light off, the system shut down. They came out and fixed the problem, but tried to charge us extra for it (a lot!), even though it was their own dumb error. We have had an annual service contract with them since then ($495 to turn it on in the spring and shut down in the fall). When the controller failed a few years ago, we received a very hefty bill ($400.00) for replacing it. The last straw came when I attempted to have the rain sensor replaced last August. The sensor failed years ago, and the service man kept saying that it would be replaced under warranty, but he never did; he finally said that the front office kept deleting the repair order. Finally the front office said they would replace it, and it would cost $230. I bought the identical rain sensor online for $61, put it in myself in 5 minutes, and it works perfectly now. I have now contracted with a different company (one that got all A's on Angie's List) to do start-up and shut-down at less than half of Sharkey's price."

"We had a wonderful experience with Evergreen Irrigation. I am writing this review approximately 9 months after having the system installed, so I can confidently speak about our overall and complete experience. I initially called them and left a voicemail back in May, 2014. Within 10 minutes, I received a call back from the owner and we scheduled a free on-site estimate a few days later. Chris showed up on time and walked our yard, took some measurements, and discussed some of our basic options. Within 24 hours, he had emailed me a formal estimate with the exact details of his proposal. The design he came up with met all of our needs of not only watering our lawn, but also our very large landscape beds surrounding our existing Paver Patio. I was so impressed with his professionalism that we didn't even bother getting a 2nd estimate. The price was very reasonable and we decided to move forward with the proposal. 3 weeks later, Chris and his team were on-site and began installing our irrigation system. It took them 2 full days and was actually very fun to watch. If I were to have attempted to do this myself, it would have literally taken all Summer and I would have completely destroyed the yard. This was done in 2 days with minimal disruption to our yard. Our system consists of 5 zones and approximately 30 sprinkler heads. We used to spend more than an hour after work every day watering our yard and landscape, and we still never watered the lawn properly (there were spots of the yard we always missed). Now, that job is completed for us without us ever having to lift a finger. Within a few weeks, our lawn had completely "healed" from the installation (several lines need to be run below ground during installation) and our lawn was lush and green and the envy of the neighborhood. We've actually found it very enjoyable to watch the sprinklers running. There is something very relaxing and therapeutic about it. We will often come home from work, sit on the patio and turn on the zone that waters our landscape. It's fun to watch and the plants are thriving. The control system is also extremely easy to operate and you can schedule it to run anytime you'd like. Chris and his team will make some recommendations on run times, but you can obviously adjust this if you'd like. Our system came with a rain and solar sensor that measures existing rainfall and heat conditions and automatically adjusts runtimes so as to not waste water when it rains or maybe provide a little extra water during heat waves. <br /> We are extremely happy with our decision to invest in a lawn irrigation system and couldn't have been happier with the service provided by Evergreen Irrigation. My wife thought I was crazy when I first told her I wanted to invest in an Irrigation system for our yard... now, she absolutely loves it. If we ever move or buy another house, I'll be hiring Evergreen to install another system for us. Chris (owner) even emailed me about 2 weeks after installation to see how things were going and see if there's anything we needed. The installation cost included all sprinklers, plumbing, parts, valves, installation, configuration, settings, and winterization for the first year and we will definitely be hiring Evergreen to open our system in preparation for this coming Spring. We are excited to have a full Summer of enjoyment out of our yard thanks to our Irrigation system this year. <br /> If you are considering an Irrigation system for your yard, hire this company. "Prompt response to phone, came out next day to review work, discuss options, parts, and work. Offered very nice suggestions. Experience and knowledge of parts, failures, pros and cons of replacement parts and wear not to buy them was very informative and positive. Promised a prompt estimate, which was delivered via phone. Due to budget constraints I had to limit one of the three "jobs." I'd rather have his quality parts and his focus on installation of quality replacement parts and installation and functionality as he described. I'll be back with final review when work is completed. He appears very competent and responsible! Work completed about 1 year now, okay, bathroom faucets are a little tight and not right even though he came out and adjusted them once (to make them good), they go tight on cold side again, not a major problem"
