The reason was that the original had snapped after only three years, and while it could have been defective, the thought was that a spring slightly larger than that recommended by the manufacturer would create a better system. He also explained to me that there was no reason to replace the other at this point and that there would be no future savings in the case I did, that I would be charged the same now as later since the second diagnostic fee would be waived.
