They also staining decks and gave me good advice on what product to use to finish it since we wanted to do it our self. He also build and installed wooden wide custom shelfs in our walk-in closet. "From day one was very impressed with James Millington and the KS & D Home Improvement & Construction Company. When James arrived on site for the initial estimate he was prompt, courteous and asked all the right questions in a quick and concise manner which gave me confidence from the start. The estimate was substantially lower than any other estimate I received, but based on my meeting with James I was confident to go forward with his company. His team arrived on time every day and was very polite and hard working. They progressed very quickly in framing, dry walling, painting and carpeting my 1200 square foot basement. Additionally, they installed a full bath where the floor had to be dug up a bit to get the fitting of the shower, toilet and sink correct. Even with that I could go down to the basement each day and see the progression without being covered in dirt and dust as they were meticulous at cleaning up at the end of the day. James went above expectations on many occasions including picking up items like vanity and lights for me which I had picked out from a specific store, he patched up an existing leaking window for me and he made a few recommendations along the way to make the end result that much better. They also touched up some drywall that had already existed in the stairwell so it would look as nice as the finished sections they were doing. The project completed very quickly, especially considering the pretty large size of the area. I am very happy with my finished basement and all the work that was done. I would not only use KS&D again, I would confidently recommend them to my friends for any of their contracting needs."
