"Outstanding! After getting several different estimates, I decided to go with Irwin for my project. Mike was prompt with all calls and providing a fair estimate. More importantly, he was great at explaining the work he would need to do and was clearly knowledgeable about the process. His estimate was significantly less then other quotes yet, I was convinced, the work was the same. Mike was no-nonsense in explaining what he would need to do, prompt with all calls, and right on time the day of the job. On job day, I quickly realized this was a family business when Mike introduced me to his two sons reinforcing, I had made the right choice! All three were knowledgeable, polite, and informative sharing the overall process with me. It was clear to me they knew what they were doing, each had their own roles, and they worked together like a fine oiled machine! I couldn’t be happier with the results and would most definitely recommend Irwin’s Concrete Leveling to anyone needing this service! Thank you for a job well done!"

"Biggest scam I e ever experience. The charged me 40k after interest to fix my sagging foundation, and fix my flooding crawl space. After an impressive sales pitch I signed the contract and had them do the ?work?. dusing the sales pitch they told me they would level my floors, and install equipment to prevent my crawl space from flooding every year. They explained this will be a multiple day project and I would have to rip up my floor to give the access to the foundation. So I ripped up my floor, and had them come in to do the work. They were in and out in about 4 hours, and left me with still sagging floors. after Getting in the crawl space myself I discovered that multiple of the jacks that they installed to lift the foundation, weren?t even touching the joists. And to this day, my crawl space still floods with a foot of water every spring. I contacted Ayer?s to see what can be done, they offered no compensation, and no help. If you?re planning to hire Ayer?s, dont"
With Ayers’ full-perimeter waterproofing system and CleanSpace wall protectant, the basement is now dry, clean, and secure. Water is directed into the drainage system and safely pumped out, giving the homeowners peace of mind that their investment is protected and their renters have a safe, comfortable home.
These homeowners were preparing to invest in a 1920s home but knew it needed serious repairs before being rental-ready. The basement had significant water intrusion, leading to mold, cracked walls, and structural concerns—making it unsafe for future tenants.
Amy and Ryan’s crawl space was damp, dirty, and filled with cobwebs, leaving them uneasy about its effect on their home’s stability. Water intrusion was a major concern, and they worried about long-term damage.
A family struggled with moisture issues in their basement, preventing them from creating additional living space. That's when they contacted Ayers about their wet basement problems.
This historic lakeside home was plagued by serious basement issues, including bowing and crumbling walls, severe cracks, and a dirt floor that allowed constant water intrusion. The foundation was at risk, jeopardizing the home's structural integrity.

"I highly recommend All Points Building and Construction. From the beginning talks of the project to the very end, Paul Starke was attentive and helpful. He understands construction and business, and he also understands people and he knows how to hear what his customers are saying and be able to envision the goal and figure out ways to put plans into action. We first called Paul in October of 2021 while we were calling around to different companies for quotes on a multi-room home addition. After speaking with a couple of businesses, and then Paul, I immediately noticed a difference in tone and interest when speaking with Paul and discussing my hopes for the project. His attitude was friendly, and there was no sense of superiority or talking down to me as some others had done. The sense I got from him on those first couple of calls was that he wanted to see what we wanted and he wanted to work on this project. One of the first times that I realized how truly special Paul and his team are was when we got the quote for the job. It was much higher than we had originally been talking about and we knew we’d have to decline and potentially start over or have to wait—something like that. We said simply that it was out of the budget, but we thanked him for his time. He asked if he could rework some things for us with his team and come back to us because they really wanted to do our project. That surprised me. Every other time I’ve told a company that the quote was too high, but thank you anyway, the company has just moved on. But Paul didn’t do that, and he came back with something we could work with. That amazed me and showed me that this was a team with heart, that we were more than just a way to make money, and that he had passion for his craft. Over the months—in total from first call to last check, the team was with us for a year and nine months creating a whole second half to our house, decks, a patio, and several custom jobs in between—my family and I came to love the All Points team. They are respectful, professional, passionate, and considerate people. They looked out for the safety of our children in the midst of construction; they watched out for our many pets as they drove equipment and trucks around and tossed lunch scraps to our shameless chickens; they protected our landscaping and even repaired a small tree that unfortunately met with a concrete truck; and they noticed little issues that already existed at the house and offered solutions for them, not in a way that took advantage of us, but rather how someone would do for their own friend or family member. They are easy-going and easy to talk to, good listeners, and kind. It helped that we valued them and showed them respect too, recognizing their talent and drive to do good work. I am incredibly thankful that Paul and his team (Nick, Jeff, Greg, and every contractor they brought in who helped on our project) were the ones who worked on our house. So much thought and care went into making this more than a project, a team effort of minds and hard work coming together to create a home for us. After moving several times, I think we can say we’re finally settled, and so much thanks is owed to All Points for that. Thanks, guys!"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Petersburg, MI

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
