"After Ida ripped through our area, we had water in our partially finished basement, just like everyone else in our area. As we removed the wet materials, we discovered a ton of mold. Dillon, Ray and his team were quick to respond, professional and we are thrilled with the quality of work. Within a week of contacting Aerotek, our mold situation was resolved. We couldn't be happier with their work and all of our interactions."

"We can’t begin to say enough about Ray and Aerotek. They literally saved my son and daughter-in-law from a house they bought that was filled with mold, toxic mold. Aerotek was so professional, and so empathetic throughout the entire process. They were constantly updating us on the job, sending photos and videos, and getting the home back to a top level of cleanliness so that they could finally start to move forward. The Crew was careful, respectful, and diligent in getting this house, cleaned and rid of mold. There aren’t enough words to say how grateful we are to Ray, and what a kind man, and honest contractor he is. If you need mold remediation, you should look no further than Aerotek and Ray. You also won’t beat his prices anywhere, which is only a bonus next to all of his other attributes."

"I called several vendors to come out and quote remediating my basement after a nor'easter knocked power out and resulted in a flooded basement due to primary and secondary sump failure. This was my first time ever contacting Bio-clean. Tim was great. He responded immediately, came out to review the job, outlined a plan of action, clearly explained the scope of work to me, and submitted pricing. His pricing was competitive. Some of the competitors did not even call me back. This job was NOT covered by insurance and Tim worked with me on the cost of the job. We awarded the job to Bio-clean that same day and Tim and his team were back out to my house within a couple hours. They worked until 10 PM the first night in an effort to get the wet carpet, carpet pad, and other wet material out of the basement and to start the remediation process. They set up fans and dehumidifiers and quickly worked to get the basement drying while spraying anti microbial to prevent mold growth. They returned again over the next few days to supervise the remediation and to make minor modifications to the equipment to optimize the drying process. The whole process took several days. They left my basement dry, clean, and completely swept up. A job well done. I would definitely use them again although I hope I never will have a flooded basement again in the future."

"Steve was professional and easily accessible throughout the project. I felt he provided a fair price for the scope of work. His team was able to effectively remediate the asbestos issue which was confirmed by a third party air testing company. Would definitely recommend Steve and his team for future hazardous waste removal services."

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Philadelphia, PA

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
