"Cesar and Richard did an excellent job on the repairs to the walls in my main bathroom and a bedroom. They painted the ceiling, walls and the trim. They also were able to better secure the plumbing access panel with magnets and a handle, so it stays firmly in place and looks much better. They also replaced the bathroom fan and caulked the tub (which was not part of the original scope of work). They were punctual and worked hard to finish the repairs within the time that Josh estimated. Overall, a great experience."

"We had previously used Art Woodstone 10 years earlier when we asked them to build extensive bookcases and cabinets when we finished our basement. When it came time this year to redo our main floor we turned to Tea and George again to do a slightly smaller but unique project to build two wall bookcases that would connect to a fireplace mantle and then two moveable wooden dog crates to fill in the space below the bookcases and to either side of the hearth. From a rough sketch of what the finished concept would look like, they were able to produce a beautiful custom set. It matched our vision exactly. They worked with our primary contractor's lead carpenter to ensure the piece would have good anchoring in the studs behind the drywall. I cannot speak highly enough of their craftsmanship. The bookcase and mantlepiece are beautiful pieces of wood and spectacular to look at. The dog crates are beyond exceptional. The careful work George did to ensure tight joins at the corners and the wooden slats was stunning. Our lead carpenter from the renovation was deeply impressed by the work. As an add on to this effort, they also restored a large wooden partner's desk that has been in our family for over 50 years. Over that time the desk had it's finish worn away in spots, was sunbleached in others, and had corners gnawed on by puppies in the day. They took that shabby mess of a desk and restored to a shine and gleam that is something to behold. AWS is worth every penny that you will pay for their work. True artisans with an eye for detail and a feel for design. Would recommend them EVERY time."

He repaired a pair of huanghwali northern hat chairs for me, and then I sent them to auction and they made $25k. "The team began by power washing the siding.  In the past, despite asking workers from other companies to be cautious because water invariably came through the ceiling in the Master Bathroom, we always had water damage.  Nothing major – just annoying. The lead at Masterworks reassured us that it would not be an issue – and it wasn’t. They assessed the area where water had come in before and somehow managed to avoid getting any water into the house.  Power washing exposed further wood damage that had taken place since the last repainting (6 years ago).  Does anyone manufacture quality wood any longer?  Apparently not.  So Masterworks reviewed each area at risk in detail with us and we agreed to the $50 per hour and materials to repair or replace the additional trim.  Trim work was performed very professionally and the two coats of paint applied equally well.  We had a metal roof installed a couple of years ago and it was our fear that paint would get on the area where the roof overlapped the trim – but the team took special care to ensure it was not harmed.    Crew provided a daily (or more often) status of how things were going, finished ahead of schedule and cleaned up perfectly before departing.  I would provide this firm my highest recommendation for your consideration.  In an earlier review, we noted that Masterworks was equally competent and competitively priced for window well repair – repair that has withstood two major storms without the leaking we asked be repaired."

"Alex provided much support throughout the entire process of designing the layout and picking out the cabinet manufacturer, door style, and color. We are very happy with the final product and price. We had a couple marks on the cabinets due to the shipping from the manufacturer, but he was very responsive and got it fixed right away. HIGHLY recommend!
