"Awesome! I worked with Ed at Main Line Kitchens to design our kitchen during a very stressful whole house renovation / expansion. To say he worked with me is an understatement. Ed might just have earned his counselor credentials as he guided me through some uncertainties, even calling me late one night from home after receiving a distressed email about a decision I was making. He ultimately helped steer me towards a cabinet line that fit my desired look, features, timeline, and budget and helped me see the pros and cons of the choices made along the way. He never pressured me and was able to accommodate a seemingly impossible timeline. He even came out to measure twice without complaint when my contractors weren't ready the first time -- not at all his fault -- but he was gracious and kind and took it in stride. Ed was personable and easy to work with and I never felt like a number in his book. When we received our cabinets I wasn't happy with a couple doors (normal issues you would anticipate with a large order and a perfectionist on the receiving end) Ed worked with the vendor and had them replaced and shipped immediately to me and the job wasn't delayed. The vendor even called direct to ensure I was happy with the replacements. It is clear MLK has a strong reputation with their suppliers. Ed was quick with recommendations for other vendors when I needed materials fast for flooring, countertops, etc. and all the other vendors knew and respected Main Line and Ed. Our new kitchen is truly the center of our home and we have Ed to thank for bringing it all together. I would recommend Ed and MLK to anyone in need of kitchen design services and cabinetry. "We obtained several estimates.  One was from Kitchen Savers for $56,000.  Another was from Lowes, but they were unable to do ANY custom cabinetry for us.  All of Lowes' cabinets come out of a box.  Their price was about $23,000 for standard cabinets, no countertops or hardware included.  Oxford was a bit of a drive for us (about 2 hours), but it was well worth it.  We have a galley-shaped kitchen/dining area.  We wanted all of our cabinetry 6" deeper than standard.  All of Oxford's work is custom?they make all of their cabinets.  So making them 6" deeper didn't cost any extra except for material.  We designed some of the unique cabinets ourselves.  Oxford came up with cabinet solutions when we were stumped.  There were 23 cabinets in all, plus one 36 x 36 rollabout with two mixer lifts.  Some of the cabinets are glass fronts with false backs.  All of the wood is oak.  The left/right frames of each cabinet were made from a single piece of oak so that, once the separate cabinets are installed next to each other, they look like one contiguous piece.  Outstanding craftsmanship! <br /> Until this year, the business was entirely Amish-owned, which made communication more difficult (no internet, limited phone time, etc.)  But this year, Mr. Jacob Fisher, the owner, took on an English partner, Mr. Laverne Harnish.  Both men are delightful to work with.  They are creative and fair.   We understand that the crafters are all Amish, with the exception of one English.  The installers are English?very polite, pleasant and easy to have in your home.  Our project was very large.  The first install was in July.  The finish was in September.  Our price was about $23,000 which included all cabinets, countertops, hardware and installation.  If we EVER need any custom furniture or cabinet work, Oxford will definitely get a call from us! <br />"
