Customers say: Quality work

"I had a smooth and professional experience with Holy Roller Painting. I had several contractors say they would replace/repair my bathroom floor but none ever showed up. This went on for a couple of months. I saw this company advertised on HomeAdvisor, called them one day, and they were here the next day. The crew was professional and knowledgeable and did an outstanding job for a fair price. They had time left before Jim Cole, the mgr. returned to do a final inspection.. In that time they repaired my front screen door for no extra charge. If you are looking for reliability and professionally completed work, you could do no better than to hire this company. I will hire them again if needed and highly recommend them."

"Everything went well! I scheduled an appointment with Todd. He showed up on time, measured all of the screens exactly, gave me an estimate, made the screens within a couple of weeks, came back and installed them. I asked him to add a couple of pull tabs and he gladly did fairly quickly. The new screens look great, they match the windows, fit perfectly and you can't even tell they're replacement screens. I would like to add that a different company that is well known really dropped the ball prior to this (didn't take exact measurements, lost the paperwork, made me wait two months for an estimate) and I'm really glad I found The Screen Man on Angie's List because he was far more professional, detail oriented, fast and concerned about my happiness with the new screens. I actually had him rescreen another screen after this (I have a couple of rental properties) because I was happy with his service. If I ever need screens in the future, I'll call him first. I highly recommend his service to anyone!"

"We were thrilled with Capitol Glass.   <br /> Another company I had contacted acted too busy to take the work and gave me a ballpark quote that was more than TWICE what Capitol charged. <br /> David in the office and John, the Installation Technician were both prompt, pleasant, and knowledgeable.  John was willing to go above and beyond in dealing with that old mirror, had we chosen to go that route. He also advised me how to change out the fasteners on our new mirrors if I decided later that I wanted brass/goldtone (I was being wishy washy about which finishes I liked better with the mirrors since the silver looked good - nearly blending in completely - with the mirrors, but all the hardware in the bath is brass) and left me with an extra fastener to compare/measure against if I went to the hardware store.  We really appreciate these little kindnesses.  I also really appreciate that John made our job a priority even though it was relatively small. <br /> I would happily recommend them. <br />"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Pickerington, OH

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
