Customers say: True professional

"Mr. Munion and Anthony did an amazing job upgrading our kitchen! We had our cabinets refaced, a new countertop installed, a new microwave moved and installed, and a garbage disposal, sink, and cooktop installed. Everything looks wonderful. They were so kind and helpful making suggestions and very knowledgeable. They were prompt, efficient, and even finished a day early. Would definitely recommend them for your kitchen upgrade!"

"We had a fantastic experience with BKG Design (North Hills Location). Our kitchen designer, Noelle, came up with a great design given the small size of our kitchen that was right in line with our expectations. Throughout the entire process she was there to give design tips and help us create the modern look we were envisioning. Given the age of our previous kitchen we needed a fair amount of work done including demo, electrical, plumbing, and some floor work on top of the new cabinets and countertops. What I loved about Noelle and BKG was there was never any pressure or upselling along the way. All of our options were laid out to us from least expensive to most expensive and any part of the project that we wanted to do ourselves or hire an outside contractor for they were happy to accomodate. We ended up choosing BKG for the entire remodel and I am so happy that we did. Noelle did a fantastic job of project management as the entire remodel fell exactly to plan from both a time and cost perspective. Noelle would check in frequently to make sure we were aware of what was next to come, any upcoming decisions we had to make, and clarify items if there was any potential for confusion. In addition to project management, the install itself went very smoothly and that was thanks to the wonderful installers, Bill and Chris. Given that I work from home I was able to witness their work each day and I have nothing but praise for everything that they did. They showed up on time every single day and did not skip a beat from the moment they walked through the door. They were always quick to answer any questions I had and even go so far as to explain how things are done or provide advice as I like to learn a bit myself. Their knowledge of what they were doing was very apparent and impressive and it shows in the final product. If you want a kitchen remodel that is managed properly, stays true to cost estimates, and has a finished product that aligns with your expectations, look no further. The whole crew has years of experience in this arena and they run a fantastic shop. Thanks BKG Design! (I will be adding pictures shortly after we put on some finishing touches)"

"Once our granite slab was sent to them, they contacted us right away to come out and view the kitchen,
they came out and measured and about a week later they came out and installed.   They were very professional.  They don't use the laser templating, which is why their prices is cheaper.   Overall the fit of the granite was close to perfect.   There is one spot where the measurement wasn't exact but they were able to fill the area with something and it isn't noticable to the average person.  I know its there because i saw them do it but someone who doesn't know about it wouldn't notice it.
The seam work is great - they really pay attention to detail making sure the flow of the stone matches up.   Great Job!

"Our old house on the Northside of Pittsburgh was in need of an exterior facelift and a new front porch to replace the one that had collapsed. I met with Dave LaBovick of Exceptional Exteriors and we agreed upon a price, which my wife and I found quite reasonable. The work on the vinyl siding began about a week later and took only a half a day to wrap up. The job was done to our complete satisfaction, The before and after is like night and day. Another crew arrived a few days later to do the porch and sidewalk. They began work on a Thursday afternoon and were finished 24 hours later. Once again, we are very happy with the result. In both cases, they removed all debris and left-over building materials associated with the job. We are not only completely satisfied with the work that Exceptional Exteriors did for us, we are looking forward to hiring them again for our next home project."

FAQs for solid surface countertops service projects in Pittsburgh, PA

Corian is an excellent option for kitchen countertops because it’s durable, non-porous, and easy to maintain. It resists stains, making cleanup simple, and comes in a wide range of colors and patterns to suit different styles. With its seamless look and long-lasting quality, Corian is both a practical and stylish choice for any kitchen.

Corian countertops can get scratched since their surface is softer than granite or quartz, but they’re easy to restore. Light sanding can buff out scratches, keeping the surface looking smooth and polished. Their ability to be easily repaired makes Corian countertops a great choice for busy kitchens that need both style and durability.

Corian countertops offer several advantages, including a water-resistant, non-porous surface that’s easy to clean. They also come in a wide range of colors and patterns, providing flexibility for various design preferences. However, they have some drawbacks, including their susceptibility to scratches and limited heat resistance, which can impact their long-term durability.

Corian countertops can last between 20 and 30 years with proper maintenance. Regular cleaning and addressing any damage promptly are key to preserving their appearance and extending their lifespan. With proper care, Corian can remain a durable and stylish surface for many years, making it a worthwhile investment for your home.
