"We used Pyramid to install quartz countertops in our kitchen, as well as a sink, faucet and garbage disposal (also used their subcontractor to install backsplash). This review is about the countertops and sink/faucet/disposal job-- we loved working with Bogi and the project came out beautifully. We didn't see the quartz we wanted in the Pyramid warehouse (although they had a great selection of granite and other stones), so Bogi suggested we look at MSI near Dulles. Bogi ordered the slabs we selected from MSI, coordinated the plumber to come when the counter top installers were ready for him, and even had them come back to clean up after the backsplash was installed by their subcontractor another day (he left some spilled grout on the countertop that we didn't notice until after he left.) The workers were clean, courteous and efficient."

"I really wanted to be able to leave a wonderful review, especially as there are so many good ones, which was partly why we chose My Kitchen and Bath-Vienna to do our small kitchen renovation. To start with the positives, HUGE shout out to Josh Turgut who had the grandest of vision for our tiny 1940’s kitchen which included some significant behind the wall design challenges. He designed us an awesome kitchen with everything we were looking for within our budget. We are very appreciative of his expertise, kindness, and overall professionalism. As for the project itself, the begin, middle, and end of our project was nothing but disappointing. Demolition left uncleared debris and some scratches on our glass topped washer as nothing was covered underneath in our basement (directly underneath our kitchen). The contractor was unprofessional, and clearly lacked technical ability and attention to detail. There was damage to cabinet fronts (which had to be argued with the project manager not just to be touched up with paint but replaced; won’t come in for weeks post project completion), grout poured in our back yard, and having to replacing a potion of our kitchen floor after having been completed blaming “it was walked on” (him and another worker rolled the fridge over the floor not even 24 hours after grout was complete). Our new dishwasher was scratched upon reinstallation with nothing reported to us about it. The construction manager UT seemed knowledgeable and when we were able to connect, seemed to want to ensure things were going as planned and to our satisfaction. The project manager Burak responded, mostly in haste, to all my inquires of questions and concern and came out to meet in person several times. It didn’t seem as if he had any specific information about our project, as there was no follow up after demolition regarding our back wall which we were unsure could be taken down and was a very important part of our kitchen renovation. A cabinet was also installed with built in trash cans that we did not request and were unable to replaced with our original request for a regular cabinet. I think it should also be noted, in my opinion, that the price of some of the renovation was over priced, being charged $600 to put in a water line for our fridge or the $550 for hardware to be installed (we supplied our own purchased hardware). Overall, we are left a well designed kitchen with some unsightly errors."

"We had a great experience with Granite Works. We contracted our countertop work on July 28th. We feel very fortunate to have met Art. He is very professional and not a high pressure sales person.  He was more of a designer and he took us out to the slab yard helping us find slabs that matched our kitchen design and equally important budget.. We were able to use their sample cabinet materials and coordinate them with the slabs, colors, movement and patterns.  He advised us on the best cuts, edgings, care, etc. Once we selected the granite within a few minutes, Art presented us with an estimate on the spot.  We placed a 50% deposit and the next day the office assistance called us to schedule our on site template. The template process was easy and thorough. It is very helpful if you take your kitchen photos with you and your detailed measurements.  That way your estimate is accurate and Art can help you with balancing movement, appropriate area for seams, if any.  Granite works provided the granite, onsite measurements, sink options, bull nose edging and included all cut outs, plus an Angie's List discount. Our price was $2500 less than a company in  the Mt. Airy. Within a week we had a template completed, in two weeks the fabrication of 2 slabs, and the installation of occurred on  August 9th. In 1 day! We elected to forego their 4" backsplash option and we designed and installed our own. Art's design consultation was very helpful.  After we finished 1/2 the backsplash we sent Art a thank you email with a photo.  He was so surprised and we were surprised and happy 1) he remembered us, and 2) he liked our natural stone tile work.  We recommend Granite Works for quality, professionalism and price.  Good luck and thanks Angie's List. "I was looking for a small bathroom vanity countertop in  a specific Silestone color.  (A small remnant is NOT easy to find)!  I called and spoke with Nicholas.  He was extremely courteous.  He did not have what I wanted but was willing to make some calls and said he would  contact me the following week when he returned from vacation.  He did call back (which was pretty awesome in itself) and had located what I wanted.  I considered his pricing to be very fair.  Because of circumstances, I did not end up using him.  However, I was impressed with his courtesy, professionalism,and pricing. In future remodeling projects,  I would definitely call Stone Depot first.

"I like the look of the cabinets, floor and countertop. The computer generated plans the designer provides mean nothing - when I pointed out that the cabinet on one wall was 15 1/2 inches short, I was told that the original project manager had trouble measuring and I would have to pay for a change order to get it right (I should have been provided a schematic with measurements and I and not provided with this). A few days later, the whole project was put on hold for five weeks because the piece around the refrigerator was mismeasured. I asked that someone remeasure other areas because it looked like there was not enough room for the refrigerator - no one came out and that wall has the crown molding jutting out 1 inch. The people delivering the countertop said sink was too heavy for the promised undermount - they asked me what to do. The crown molding was originally installed 1 1/2 inch form the ceiling - the project manager would not fix until I brought out management from NV Kitchens. The slide out shelves on the lower cabinets was part of the design and verified by the designer. I could not get them installed until I withheld third payment. A project estimated to take 3 weeks has taken 12 weeks (and damage to the adjoining room floors has still not been fixed). Be aware that you have no one to advocate for you on the project - you are on your own. Update as of 11/29/2022 This is an addition to a prior review. The grout started crumbling after 6 weeks and a tile has cracked. The contractor will not come out because he did not like my original review - so it seems a bad review voids the warranty. The contractor's response to lack of warranty was "I was wondering if you could give us a better review, I saw that you gave us only 2 stars. I would really appreciate it if you could give us a better review if possible. I know that the designer made some mistakes but I tried to do my best to make you happy with the way that we managed the project and the quality of your work." My response to the contractor --The two stars reflects NV Kitchen making no effort to remedy the wrong size cabinets (smaller less expensive) or the wrong sink installation (not an under mount). The company should have made an effort to work with you to make it right. Update as of 12/7/2022 Entire kitchen remodel. This is an update to original review. The contractor tried to do good work but NV Kitchen substituted smaller cheaper cabinets and cheaper sink installation and would not correct. Review Text: The contractor corrected the crumbling grout and cracked tiles. The company substituted smaller cheaper cabinets and cheaper sink mount and would not change or correct."
