"It was time to replace our 25 year old furnace and leaky A/C system. John provided a number of reasonably priced options and gave us plenty of time to make a decision. John was prompt, friendly and courteous. He installed the new furnace, A/C and a water heater himself in a timely manner. He did a first-class job and was conscientious in making sure everything was right. His workmanship was excellent. He answered all questions and made sure everything was cleaned up when the job was completed. We were very pleased with John's work and will continue having him provide maintenance and service in the future."

"So - So! The overall project was just okay but not fantastic. We went with DeRisio even though he was more expensive because he seemed to know what he was talking about. At the end of the project, the brick work on the front of the building still has mortar stains although they claim they acid washed it several times. They replaced a brick door sill with a something they bent out of aluminum trim material. After repeated requests to fix it, they offered to put in a slate sill. I said that would be okay. Well, over one year later, it still isn't done. They replaced an exterior door that hasn't latched properly from the day it was installed. Great guys - but lousy workmanship. I wouldn't have them back."

"We needed roof repair, location and repair of leaks in a rooftop deck, and the installation of many cabinets, both base and wall-mounted. Our first contact with Doug Coons was about locating the sources of multiple leaks in a rooftop deck that had been an issue for the entire eight years since we’d built an addition to our home. We’d had at least three other contractors out to look at it and selected one to do the repairs. We invested thousands of dollars into that repair and to replace the ceiling and drywall damaged by the leaks. That “repair” did NOT take care of the problem; the leaking persisted, and all of the money we’d spent was wasted. When I called Doug Coons, he answered his phone on the first ring. He came out within two days and gave us a quote on the spot. I think this was a Wednesday. We discussed the timeline for the job, and I jokingly said, “Well, unless you can have it done before Saturday afternoon, it’ll have to be next week. We’re having a graduation party here Saturday.” To my surprise, Doug said if we needed it done by Saturday, they’d get it done. And they DID. His roofing crew was phenomenal, especially the crew chief. It was obvious from the minute he viewed the interior damage and then walked the deck and roof that he knew exactly what the problems were and how to fix them. He explained very clearly what was going on, why, and what needed to be done. They got to work and were finished and cleaned up and out of there well ahead of the party. We’ve had no issues with leaks since. The next time I called, Doug answered his phone on the first ring. (I’ve since found out that this is standard for him—something which is completely outside of my experience and really appreciated.) We’d participated in an auction to benefit a local animal rescue organization and bought thousands of dollars’ worth of floor model cabinets. They came “as is,” with some damage, and without installation instructions. He and his crew did an outstanding job of configuring, repairing and installing them. Their attention to detail and how particular they are about quality work is really commendable. We’ve already lined up two more jobs with them—drywall, flooring, wainscoting, waterproofing, and more cabinet installation, and I have every confidence that this work will be performed to the same high standards as the work done so far. It’s great to have a contractor who really DOES “do it all,” and I’m so glad I’ll never have to search for and “vet” a contractor ever again. Finally, my husband and I think his quotes are quite reasonable, especially given the high quality of workmanship."

"Dave did a great job. We were very impressed by his quality of work and honesty. We had an issue with the dishwasher not fitting correctly under our counter and he actually took the time to call the company we purchased it from to have it replaced. Way above what was required of him! The new plumbing for the second bathroom is ten times better than whats in the old bathroom. We plan on having him out again when we remodel the older bathroom and to install a sump pump backup."

"Paul and his team were prompt and courteous every day of the job.  Paul, and his head painter Josh and the rest of the crew were very attentive to all the details of de-glossing, sanding, proper priming and painting which are the big challenges in painting wood cabinets and wood paneling.  They did not stop until the quality of the finishes met my expectations and their own standards for excellence.  I appreciated the extra effort they took to make sure the job was well done.  There was a great deal of dust and other debris but the team worked hard to keep the disruption and mess to a minimum and cleaned well before they left.  The results are spectacular and both rooms have been completely transformed."
