"Workmanship, timeliness and cleanliness were above average. I have no complaints about anything that was done. I only have one issue which was with communication. Two major aspects of the job were changed without my consent therefore I did not have input into changes I would have made as it was too late when I noticed these changes. They were understandable as they would do to zoning and or building code. But I would’ve had them done completely different. Had I had a choice. This was totally unintentional. I chalk it up to a learning experience on both ends. Other than that everything was exceptional."

"Prompt response… very professional! I have been without a sink for two weeks, called a few companies and no follow up.. Tejadas was able to fit me in right away.. they were at my home on time and did a great job cutting my granite countertop and positioned my sink to get installed by the plumber… I would definitely hire them again for any future jobs"

"This team is amazing - I cannot underscore that enough! After my family member became disabled due to an accident, we needed accessibility modifications made to our home. AIP completely restructured a fairly small existing bathroom into an ADA-compliant bathroom with roll-in shower stall that is beyond what we had even thought possible. They had knowledge of and experience with specs and features that would be necessary for someone in our family’s situation - many of them details we didn’t even realize we had to consider. AIP were meticulous about sticking to their work schedule as promised and finished the job LITERALLY TO THE HOUR that they promised it would be done. They even left the new bathroom and their workspace sparkling clean and ready for instant use. Perhaps best of all, they demonstrated consistent care and compassion for our family as we made our way through the early weeks of our sudden and sad circumstances. I recommend them over and over again"

"I had my whole apartment deleaded and these guys did a great job. They responded very fast, and made sure that everything was done to my satisfaction. My home is nearly a 100 years old and all the windows (20+) had lead in them. They gave the best price for window replacement and even beat window professionals at it as well"

"This company provides excellent customer service! We bought a home in 2016 that included a pool house awning installed by Sondrini Enterprises in 2013. It worked fine until it didn't. in 2020, we called Sondrini Enterprises, and they came within a week to investigate and fix the issue. It needed a new motor. In the spring of 2024, the awning motor seemed to again be broken. We called again and Nate Sondrini, personally, was able to diagnose and, over the phone, provided us with simple step-by-step instructions that resulted in solving, what turned out to be a very simple problem. These folks are smart, competent and reasonably priced! Would have no issue using them again!"

"I bought a house in Brimfield, MA right before a tornado hit the area. Mike was hired to do all of the repairs to my new home. I was living in California at the time and the house needed a lot of remodeling before I could move in, so I called Mike to do the remodel. We exchanged several wish lists on my part, because I had a budget that I wanted to work with. Even though I changed the list at least 10 times, Mike kept working with me and did not show any frustration. When I traveled to Brimfield to sign the papers for the house, I finally got to meet Mike. <br /> <br /> We made a date and time and he showed up on schedule, with a big "nice to meet you" smile on his face. We went over the changes I wanted completed before I moved from California to Massachusetts. Mike would contact me at least weekly to let me know the progress of the remodel, and was extremely professional when answering my phone calls from the West Coast. Due to issues getting the building permit, Mike let me know that the house would not be done until after I arrived in Massachusetts. That was no problem for me since I had two dwellings on the property. When I finally reached Massachusetts, I got to meet Mikes crew who were also very nice and professional. <br /> <br /> Eve though Mike did not come to the site to work every day, he did stop by every day to check on the progress of his employees, and to let me know what was happening the next day: when the electricians were coming, when the plumber was coming, etc. I always knew exactly what to expect, and of course, I made requests and changes along the way, that Mike took in stride. He gave me exactly what I asked for even when it was a change to the original contract. He was so easy to work with that I also had him rebuild my garage and shed that the tornado had knocked down. <br /> <br /> Once again, he let me know the start date and he and his workers were at my house at exactly 8:00 to begin the work. As with the house remodel, Mike came by and checked the site every day and let me know what I should expect each day. He would also call to check that the electricity was turned on on schedule and that the garage door was put in on the day he had said. <br /> <br /> Working with Mike is a wonderful experience and I will continue to work with him ion the future. He is the best contractor I ever worked with. His next project is to put in a new bulkhead door to my basement. That is being held up by the weather in Massachusetts right now, but he will certainly let me know when he plans to get the work started. <br /> <br />"

"If you need interior painting done, look no further! Marcelo and Marcio are a great team! Very friendly, conscientious, and meticulous in their preparation and painting. Very receptive to any changes in color or areas to be painted. Marcelo is a true artiste and Marcio works very hard. Our home looks like a new house! Carpentry work was excellent as well. Price of the job is very reasonable for the quality of the workmanship."

"The finished room is very nice, but communication between staff was often poor which translated to miscommunication with us as homeowners. Billing is poor at best.....payments incorrectly applied, double charges on invoices, and we have reason to believe we were charged for a premium product under our new roof that was not actually installed. Workers were not always respectful with our home....leaving the work site with muddy floors, washing paint brushes in our kitchen sink and using homeowner supplies and not returning them."

"I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Plainfield, MA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
