"Thrasher did a good job on the basement foundation and installation of new sump pump. A little pricey. Workers were prompt, courteous and cleaned up when done."

"We had an attached screened-in porch that was sinking.Acculevel came in and detailed every aspect of the repair project and then followed thru to the most minuet detail. Excellent work and very detail oriented. Friendly and cooperative service team that completed the work. This seemed like what was going to be a complicated job, using augered jacks, concrete removal, and replacing trex floor. ...In a nutshell, they made what seemed hard..very manageableand 100% solved.Excellent service, excellant price......Terry M."

"Lance did foundation repair consisting of adding a deadman anchor system along one of our poured concrete foundation walls. Lance was right on time to provide the initial quote, provided the quote that day and was competitively priced. He was able to schedule us within 1 week and completed all of the work ahead of time, which was amazing. We were very happy with the quality of work. Also, Lance cleaned and swept up everything in the basement after he was done. Lance checked with us several times to make sure we were happy with the quality of work. Lance is easy to work with, arrived on time and works very hard. We would definitely work with Lance again."

"Olshan is a great company. Alejandro and his crew did an excellent job in repairing our foundation and getting the chimney back against the side of the house like it used to be before the foundation shifted. Expensive, yes, but quality work usually is AND worth it!! My hat is off to Alejandro and his crew. They were very careful to put down paper so as not to track mud into our home. They were very careful so as not to disturb the cable wires running along the foundation. These guys were just great, Thank you."

"Roger and his crew were nothing short of amazing. I got my foundation repaired, a drainage system installed, and sump pump installed. From the get go we had to make changes to the plan due to having a deck in my backyard, but they adapted and overcame no problems. They were very knowledgeable on the process, on the different items being installed and how they worked, explaining every step along the way, and answering any of my questions. When they finished in the afternoons they would clean up any messes they made from their work that day, making it look like they were never there. When done cleaning Roger would discuss/show me what they did during the day and tell me the game plan for the next day. The first day we had to call out a plumber to move some water lines and fixed a sink drain pipe that had separated when the plan changed, and they told us they couldn't come until the following morning. The crew adapted yet again and adjusted what they could get done until the plumber showed up. When he arrived the next morning they worked around the plumber no problems. The following day after that just when it looked like everything was going smoothly, and when the crew was laying fresh cement they heard the water line bust. It was spewing water everywhere, and directly onto their cement. I didn't have a meter key handy to shut the water off. Roger and one of his guys followed me to the meter, his guy ran to get a wrench to shut it off for me. If it wasn't for them I would have had water all over my floor and their cement. Once the water was shut off the crew decided to dig up that section of cement for fear that when the plumber did arrive later that evening, after they had left for the day, more water would drop from the pipes and ruin it. After the plumber left that evening I noticed the kitchen sink drain was leaking again. After doing some handy work to remove the water pooling on the cement, and to avoid ruining it in another location, I called the plumber to come out yet again for the third time. So again on the last day Roger and his crew had to work around the plumber's mistakes/corrections. They relaid the cement they had to remove the previous day and finished the job. Despite having to work around a plumber, and despite having to make last second changes they never got frustrated. They were always professional, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to do any foundation repairs. They, like I said earlier, we're nothing short of amazing. Very professional guys, and that's with them driving an hr each way to my house. They were great to work with, and we're confident we made the right choice in choosing PierMagic."

"I had a great experience with Dry Basement. The estimator Curtis was extremely knowledgeable, clean cut, friendly, and straight forward. He arrived right on time and got to work. He reviewed my situation with laser measuring equipment and had a written estimate for me on the spot. We agreed on a price for the work and scheduled my repair for their next available slot, three weeks later, on December 11, 2014. I received a call from their office staff two days before the scheduled work, to remind me of my appointment and their estimated arrival time. The crew of four guys showed up right on time and got straight to work. The foreman, Alvin, was great and worked just as hard as every other guy on the crew, and these were about the hardest working guys I've ever seen in my life. Everyone was super friendly (my Labrador retriever vetted each of them and approved). It was a wet, sloppy day outside, and they put plastic down on my carpeted floors and stairs to keep things tidy. They installed 10 u-channel braces in the basement to shore up my slightly bowing foundation (just under 2" of inward bowing), and secured it to 8 yards of concrete - that's 32,000 pounds worth - in the yard. The cracks inside were sealed with polyurethane. They finished the job in one day, as promised, and cleaned everything up when they were done. In fact my basement was cleaner when they left than when they showed up. I would definitely hire these guys again, though I don't plan on having to, since from the looks of things this house isn't going anywhere. HIGHLY recommended."

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in Pleasanton, KS

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
