If we bid on a job & a proposal is written up for a job explaining what is involved & how much it cost, then we usually ask for either one third or one half up front & the balance due upon completion of job. It turned out that the old culvert had been crushed with blacktop pieces so they had to leave and bring in a claw truck to get it out but they got it done.
